With ROK I sort of feel like I was given the shitty end of the stick

Right now I'm feeling

Necros get the upperhand when crit and base dmg modifiers come into play

What with Lifeburn and Lich and what not. Someone help me out here and help me see the light before I do something crazy like betray.

All I can say i do what you feel like you want to in order to have fun. Remember every class gets it's 15 minutes of fame with SOE and it cycles. Today we are not 1 on the parse with full mythical groups, tomorrow who knows. I worked a bit to hard to get where i'm at with my masters and mythical epic to ever think about betraying.. If I wanted to play something else I would just level up a new toon and start from there, it doesn't take long and betraying could cause you to lose a good bit (depending on what you are wearing).

Meh, they smell of dead things. I still prefer conj over necro, its all about your playstyle choice. Khylan is absolutely right about the flavor of the month thing... if you go for that, you'll never be satisfied becuase it will always keep changing.

Your gear is not that great to be honest, thats one reason your dps sucks. I've thought about going necromancer for awhile while i was taking a break from raiding, ive gotten back into raiding again with my mythical, im loving parsing in the top 4 everytime.

I'd actually like to know from Bigron though how he parses in comparision to confirmed necromancer who i believe is Sciomatar? They would be an even comprasion from the same guild with very similar gear. Its hard to compare conj vs necro if your gear is crap and theres is great.

The biggest issue as I see it is the content not the class. Conjurors are more powerful than ever, but the content has drastically changed from the likes of KoS and EoF. Back in EoF, 35%-50% of the encounters in raid zones were group encounters. This is why Conjs, Locks, and Swashy were so powerful back then. We could hold our own on single target mobs, and destroy everyone else on the parse, in the group encounters. RoK, as we all know, is a complete and total opposite. We are lucky to see a couple of group encounters in RoK instances. Being that we are an AE based class, the big single target classes (Assassins & Wizzys) are pretty much going to dominate this expansion. A skilled Conjuror with great gear, can keep it close, but the dominance we enjoyed in EoF is over.
The best advice I can give is get you’re mythical and get as close to the spell crit and +spell damage cap as you can. Once you can fairly close to those caps, you might even want start working powerful proc gear into the equation.

This expansion is very burst-dps, and not plenty on the multi-mob encounters. Neither of which we are very good at in comparison to other classes.

/shrug, I just go with the flow, and pray that the game leans back towards longer fights and multi-mob encounters which we really shine at.

Necros pretty much have the same problem as us, except they can use Lifeburn every now and then to give them a boost in burst DPS. But the mob still has to live for more than 10 seconds to get the full burn.

This is true...I can parse 7ks on the quad....and I suppose I had my time to shine with EOF.

Final question is whether or not the Necro Mythical effects lifeburns
