Is it worth casting other than JUST pre pull?

3 sec casting time= I could have gotten two spells in. But... the Mythical pet getting an additional 921-1535 heat damage (for my ad3) each spell would be a decent amount of damage also...

I'm not sure. I've just been using it pre pull but wondering if I should use it more?

i only use it once on trash mobs, on avatar of valor i casted it everytime it was up ( i was on the named and it was the second biggest amount of my dps ). I do use the 4 set tho.

generally if the fight is 15-45seconds im gonna cast it once
generally if the fight is over 1minute 30seconds im gonna cast it liberally, my reuse brings the recast down to 34 seconds.

I use it on pull of course and every time it refresh, as long as I feel sure the mob(s) isnt dead before the 7 tics hit. So basically when I think it will take ~25+ seconds before the mob is dead.

I figure the pet casts roughly every 3 seconds (have no clue or parse to back that up), so (3 sec * 7) + 3 sec cast time

I never recast it during trash fights (actually, lately I have problems for it being ready for the next pull :/ ). I do recast it if I'm sure the fight lasts long enough. Wish it took advantage of spell/basedamage properly as it shows on the tooltip.
