Robe of Dark Power vs Class BP

I keep hearing arguments both ways... which is better for Conjy's? The reuse is huge, shattered tectonics damage nice, but losing 9 crit, 125 spell mod, and a power proc/stoneskin... kinda a tough call.

Whatcha guys think?

Unless you can get 100+ crits without dark robe, it's sort of obvious, at least for me. And stoneskin is so leet :P

I have been missing my reuse though :/ leviathan sealed legs help!

That's what I figured, but I was also called silly in the ever enlightening summoner channel for thinking so.

We're already fast casting, spam clicking, so reduce the recast time of Earthquake from 20 seconds to 18 seconds... or add +125 to every single spell and +9 crit?

I thought it was kinda obvious, but I've heard arguments the other way... so I dunno.

i would use dark power if i could, only 2 exsist on nagafen and my guild was in the top 15 to clear vp =/

That's an interesting question. I personally would love to have either robe

. The +9 crit is amazing, as is dispertion from RoDP, however +crit% is a lot easier to find than +reuse, so in my opinion it would depend on the rest of your gear. If you can get a really high +crit w/o the RoDP, perhaps the reuse would be the better way to go. Otherwise RoDP would probably be superior. Ill try to work out the numbers when I get home from work / wake up.

Here is the skinny imo, if your reuse sucks, like you have less than 25-30% reuse with the set robe and your crit suffers greatly you're better off with the dark robe more than likely.

But for some, well if i get my robe, and if they ever fix dark wand and cloak of unrest stacking issues, then i'd be around 40-45% (if i puts on ring of 4 winds) reuse and still have no less than 93+ crit.

The reason some of us defend reuse so much is, if you do so much more dps with just Jester's cap every 2m, imagine if you had the JC reuse speed permantly PLUS you can STILL get JC to bring your reuse up another 35-40% on top of what you already have.

I look at it for us like:
Base dmg increase > reuse > crit > +spell dmg > spell haste (since all our nukes get max haste from AA for the most part).

And the only reason spell dmg is above haste anyway is because with the extra base dmg you can get more spell dmg to compensate for the increases.

Some of us have around 40%+ base dmg with mythical, dark orb, choker, troub mythical. And more with trak belt effect every few mins if dark wand quits fukin with the church's money.

I wouldn't overestimate reuse myself, especially for stuff you can't chain nuke at (hostile reactive crap for the lose).

Epic, elemental mastery staff, leviathan legs, venril cloak seem to be enough for me. Only real reason I find to be in need of more reuse is constant trash pulling with blazing manifestation not coming up for every pull. But that should improve once I get the lava channeling sleeves I guess!

Also it doesn't seem all that easy for me to get 100 crits and remain with somewhat decent reuse and spelldamage and procs :/ unless maybe a guild has major luck with droprates from hoshkar.

Don't underestimate it either bro

. Reuse effects how often you can use ALL your good shit too. Not just BM. You got EU, PS, Communion (for pulls), Earthquake, ST, Effigy, etc. Even your proc items with reuse like brocks, capelarian diadem (during your EU chain). Hell even my racial trait stuff like DE Crit. It's one thing when you're chain nuking i can definitely understand your point, but what if your good stuff is up more often as well. And true you sacrifice a bit of crit...

Point is, you have more encounters where you have your best stuff up for sacrificing a bit of crit..in trade for a perma jesters cap like reuse as well as still getting JC that adds another 35-40% reuse on top of that for a short period

Jester's doesn't do much for me :/ maybe I can't use it since I don't get it/ask for it very often and there's probably someone else needing it when someone else has the immunity. I do like chaining cb, effigy and earthquake on trash whenever I get jester's of course!

Don't get me wrong, reuse is great! Especially when shit gets pulled fast and dies fast. I used set robe over jarsath robe but I still prefer dark power :P 9 crits and 125 spelldamage (and stoneskin of course!) is still a bit much to sacrifice for 10 reuse. But I use leviathan sealed legs over gene-splicer for example!
