Coming home finally!!! We graduate from Advanced Individual Training on Monday, July 14th and It's looking like I'll take a 6am flight Tuesday morning from Lawton, OK to Orlando, FL and get my dad to give me a ride back to Daytona. I want the hell out of Fort Sill that bad!!! Flight's only $300 with American Airlines, not bad and only one connection at Dallas-Ft. Worth. Should be landing around 12:30pm EST =)

Gotta report on the 16th to my recruiter for Hometown recruiting program (aka minimal work, free 2 weeks paid leave) plus my 10 days of paid leave from July 30-Aug 9. Gotta be in Ft. Riley on the 9th though, 1st ID baby, going mechanized forward observer driving around Bradleys.

Just gotta check the flight with my Sergent before I can book it, gonna do that tomorrow.

Can't wait!!!

I'll stop by in games and play a little bit, maybe try the new raid zones and chat in class channel! Laters Conjs.

Alright, sitting in Dallas Ft. Worth atm browsing the forums and I've started to wonder what happened to the perception of our class? We were considered, and I quote "useless" before I left for the Army and yet the veteran Conj's were still pulling respectable numbers... It was just that because we couldn't hog top spot on the parse 90% of the time like we did in EoF that we became worthless somehow?

No other class is enjoyable to me when solo or grouping because the Conj is very versitile and can deliver some major hurt. True when it comes to Epics we may not be the ultimate damage dealer like we used to be, but that doesn't mean a well skilled and geared Conj can't compete and outdo others. Fuck if I know what happened, guess it's the mythicals and new resist thing that I'll have to work on when I get home. Still, I see good and exceptional numbers from some of the old veterans, but it seems like they're vanishing. I used to know the best Conjs from every server, now most are gone =(

Ah well, I'll get home and play around with Kahna a bit and if my old guild is short a person I can ask for some raiding time on SoH and Avatars and see wtfz up.

You really aren't missing anything. I'm thinking about coming back to play, though, because every other game out there is shit, and worse than EQ2 even. But I'm guessing that from what I can read, Conjurors aren't very necessary anymore....that sucks.

Every mother and their dawg can get their crits to 100+ and spelldamage where ever whereas summoners can't (on the whole, pet (20-30% of summoner dps) will still suck). They also add nothing to their group/raid except their own dps and therefore less useful than wizards and illusionists :P

I remember when I thought that I was gonna have a cool job in the Army. Little hint bro, you will never ever have a job that's as cool as what the Army tells you its going to be. Look over at Afghanistan. You see any Bradleys rolling around there? No. What you do see, though, is a shitton of gate guard and tower guard.

Conjys are just completely irrelevant...fun class but compared to other mages (except necro) we're worthless

Apparently raid wide mana clickies are equivilent in value to 2-3k DPS

Still a fun class though, one I'm trying to stick with but theres no home for summoners anymore except for in guilds where the other mages suck so hard you can outshine them.

Tried Age of Conan for a bit. Taking it easy on gaming for a few months then thinking of coming back here hardcore on conjy/dirge. Laodaron is right, nothing quite as good as eq2 (AoC isn't bad, just couldn't get into it). Glad to see you on boards again Kahna.
