Wait, so this guild is VP flagged, but makes Summoners break out the tank pets to pull mobs in PR? I mean, just to be able to do that in the first place you have to have someone drop from the raid and run in to activate the mobs, which is just a weak pickup raid tactic to begin with. And I see a Templar and a couple of Shamans in the raid. If they insist on pet pulling, do they not realize you can use the Hammer or AA pet to pull mobs if needed, FFS? Are they afraid the mobs will kill the healer if they pet pull? Is the Guardian too stupid to use Sentry Watch properly? Damn, that's some stupid shit.

Hint: The Skeletons in PR AoE/Harm Touch on pull every time. If you can take the AoEs during the fight, you should be able to do so on the pull too. (Then again maybe they joust the AoEs, hehe.)

very nice circle, well be using it alot to compare to. thx for posting. i have no clue if anyone from the guild is reading this thread or not, but even in my allience raid, i raided with templar, the tank did the pulls the whole raid of pr. i do think it is weird to use conj pet pull, and we have been there 2 times and the same thing conj pulls.

with my dps on the raids last night i dont think ill be accepted. i have only hit 4k 2 times so far. i so want to raid with my conj, it is more fun.

not sure what is going to happen. i know there is another raid today and then one on friday and that should be the end of the 2 weeks.

if i dont make the the trail, ill see what to do next, but i know i wouldnt have done as well as i have if it wasnt for the people here, and there help.

just hope the next 2 raids i can really kick the crap out of some mobs and burn up the parse, but we will see. ill keep you all posted.

and for the giggles ill post my screen maybe there is some suggestions there as well?

Ok,FWIW the other conjy had "fury, necro, illus, troub, and either lock or wizzey, dont rember" and only beat you by 300 in PR.

First off, you are ****greatly**** dependent on your group. Take away a troub, say bye bye to 400-600dps. Perhaps more. Take away tandem, there goes ~200. Take away the wizzy, and another ~200 shots out the window. So given the fact that you got a complete shit group and the other conjy had a rock solid group, you should be *proud* that you came even close.

Second, WTF. Pet pull in PR? You have hammers, spirit dogs.... all of which dont cripple a class if they die. Heres another novel concept, if they make you do that GARBAGE, use your fucking mage pet, put up vehement gem and masters intervention, send it in, and call servant when it geats agro. That should at least keep it alive for you. If the mob blows up the raid, well you have something to laugh at. If you pull with a tank pet, you have lost the dps your mage would have done.

Third, As mentioned above, a *raid* guild that doesnt use vent or teamspeak?!?!?!?

Do you really mean to tell me that they want a conjuror to do 4k dps when their Assassins and Wizzys can barely do it?! That is complete and utter rubbish.

Im with Xalmat on some of this, perhaps you should be looking for another guild.

this post was noticed by an officer of the guild, and it is casue some things. mainly that im misrepresenting the guild by my title of the post. even though i was under the impression of it being that way. so i figured i would just post what i posted on the guild site.


the whole reason i went to flames was after my first raid here, i did ok, but not great on getting to 4k dps and i knew i would need help. so i took a big chance and went to flames for help. was scared out of my mind that they would just write me off as stupid and flame me but they didnt.

during this whole thing, i have learned alot of things and how class dependent we really are. and they also ask me alot of questions so they can better help me on my dps.

when this was on my applacation i took it and been trying to accomplish it.

We are looking for a conjuror that is going to output some serious DPS and who can attend most, if not all, of our raids. So we will be looking for you to hit 4k+ when geared. We shall happily trial you but I suggest you get level 80 first before trialling and please try to push your AAs as hard as possible.

Im sorry there are some people on flames that didnt like me pet pulling in pr. the only reason it was put on the post was because of my dps being so low, and i thought i should put on there as to why my dps was so low.

it was not intended to be harmful to guild or anyone in it but it seems like it is. i dont agree with pet pulling, in my option, does that mean i wont do it nope it dont. i do what ever a raid asks me to do, i hope you see that. if you dont i cant help that.

the main reason i went ahead and put my post here as well was to have sloop look at the post and read though what has helped me become better. im sorry if some of the posts on the thread from flames is not to the likes of the guild, but it is all true, and it all affected my dps. i will try to explain that to the flames post as well. but it might just make it worse as well.

i also should point out that from the conversion after the first raid, both me and sloop where told to improve, and if we cant hit the 4k needed, yall would find another recruit.

That makes me feel a bit better about what they were asking of you, but you still DO NOT need to be pet pulling in PR, and DO need the correct group setups.

Tell them to quickly fuck off. If they're mad because their shitty guild is using old school KOS tactics like pet pulling to be lazy and circumvent raid mechanics, then that's their fault.

You need to be in a mage group as a Conjuror especially. I'm not saying that there arne't times that you'll get fucked in group setups, cause alot of people do, but the nonsense of pet pulling, and expecting a T1.5 DPS class to out DPS the T1 DPS even when you're geared out is nuts. I don't like the sound of the people giving you a hard time either because you came here for help.

Off topic...
Our guild does not use Teamspeak or Ventrilo and we have killed every mob in the game thus far minus one Avatar, since it rarely spawns.
So go figure :P
