The DPS from BCG destroys the DPS gain from the Silten Sand Sash pre-VP, and still wins out in VP, even with the extra resists. 1 proc from BCG in a 30s fight is about right, and is more DPS than 2% crit will get you. The +damage on the sash isn't even worth considering, since it's so easy to cap anyway.

If you have doubts about bcg and are using praetor's guard, just imagine it's about the same dps without the crits.

I have parsed with my bcg and then took it off and parsed with silten sand sash and I did more dps than with the bcg. For me the bcg is just resisted too much. The last time I parsed in CoD it was actually beat out by fireshield so I don't even bother with the bcg anymore. I have never bothered with it since.
