I was reading some of the other posts in the forum, and one of Vydar's stood out to me and I wanted to get some opinions.

BCG, resist rates, and overall DPS.

Does the BCG really really suffer from poor resist rates that stop it from being the belt of choice for conj's who cant kill Trak?

Is there nothing else worthy of that slot? I havent done BCG quest yet - its on my list of to-do's, but I wont bother if its going to be resisted too much to make a difference.

The day i look at ACT and see it proc more than once a fight, rather than 35 procs out of 60 fights, I'll put it back on.

Actually, the are helping. Theyre giving reasons for and against wearing it.

IMHO, Id wear the Silten Sand Sash over the BCG in *most* cases.

If you want a definite answer, get the BCG, put it on, parse it out, and compare it to other things you may be able to wear.

fwiw +2% crit chance is the equivalent of .6% increase in spell damage. If youre putting out 3k dps, thats 18dps from the +2% crit.

If the BCG is putting out more the 18dps for you on what youre fighting, wear it. Otherwise, a +2%crit belt would be better.

Well, I havent done the BCG quest yet, but the Silten Sash is definitely out of reach for me, for now. I was hoping there was something...else. I'll get the quest done once I plow thru 79 and parse it for myself.

If you dont have the silt sand sash or the BCG there is one quest item that has +2 crit and +12 in combat regen. Cant remember the name atm will look when I get home. It's from one of the rok solo quests though so you may already have it and if you dont it shouldnt be hard to get.

I've heard both sides arguments.

I've worn it in tier 1, tier 2, and veeshan's peak.

It lands less than once a fight for me. That's not enough to justify me wearing it.

Agreed, it's alright to wear for trash mobs, and some t1 stuff, but against anything t2+ i wouldn't bother. It's hardly proc'ing at all, and a few crit in exchange won't hurt you any.
