rofl. Sorry about that. I know the difference, Ive been saying it wrong forever. Some habits die hard. Plus, typing it at work means not proofreading / minimizing the window a lot

We had that discussion some months ago

Since we are in the conji Forum, you also have to calculate that our pets damage isn't affected by our crit. With main pet and swarm pets, that was less than 50% back than for me.
And yes, crit doesn't affect +damage, proved that in the first link .

What's missing there are exact numbers for crit regarding that a crittet spell will at least do max damage +1. The only spell that is really affected by that is seismic. I also calculated that back than but can't find it. I think we got around 34% from crits when you use seismic every 20 secs (if you have no +damage). So if you want to know how much damage you get from crit, you have to take in account how many percent of your damage is affected by crit, how much +damage you have und the damage spread. With some spells capped, crit will bring maybe 25%, it will affect 45% of your damage (numbers are just estimates). That would mean

dps for 1% crit = (total dps*(0,25*0,45))/100.

So for 5k total dps you get 5-6 dps per crit.

So taking your 5% crit Item, that would mean 25-30 dps. Now you can compare that with the damage of a proc from a zonewide and you know which item is better (zonewide=5k for this calculation).
