Good luck Khylan. I've reached a point (TSO) that basically made the choice for me. EQ2 is no longer fun. Not as a Conjuror (unless they completely revamped the AAs and balanced Conjurors to other top teir DPS classes) but even then I'd just be playing waiting on my next nerf.

Miss playing my Conjy too Khylan, I just can't pick him up again with my schedule and it's just not the same raiding with him now as it used to be back in EoF. I really felt powerful, though not overpowered, in that expansion and when RoK came out I really had a great time grinding up to 80 and then the raid content just pissed me off after a little while =(

Ah well, I'm kicking it over in Warhammer for now, the PvP system is really fun on Core servers (which are not open PvP, just have areas for it plus battlefield objectives, keeps and cities to take). Rolling with an Archmage which is a powerful (Templar-esque) healer, with moderate damage output (Dirge) and squishy but with utility to make it easier to live (Enchanter-esque). Most people that play my class whine bitch and moan much about it much like they do in EQ2 and the AM isn't really considered a strong class much like how Conjuror's were considered T2 dps back in EoF (/sarcasm).

I'm havin a blast, you should come join me Lao. The server usually has a warband running around each tier every night, and for the moment the Order alliance guilds own T1, T2 and T3 while the Destruction alliance guilds have the numbers over us to keep us pushed back in T4 (that'll change soon heh).

I am in Warhammer. But I'll only play on Open servers. There isn't enough PvE to keep me interested. Its the open RvR that keeps me captivated.

Once I get into Afghanistan, I'll have a more solid connection, lately, I can only connect via NIPR or my Blackberry.

Cool cool, what class ya play Lao? I only went Core because I didn't know how good the PvP was, or how balanced it was, and thought it would turn into the gayness that is EQ2 open pvp. Didn't know there were so many safe war camps in each zone you could chill at either.

And yeah, I have the same issues here. Damn Cable sucks hardcore out here in Kansas but freaking Alltel is all over the goddamn place, can't go 5 miles without running into one of their stores so now I'm playing on one of their Wireless 3G cards and my god I don't believe how much smoother it is that the shitty Cable here. For a 3G card running Warhammer and Ventrillo between 150-180 ping at 60% signal strength (damn barracks kill signals here) isn't bad at all considering the Cable CAN run at 66 ping, but often jumps into the 500's+ for several minutes on and off. Not to mention the cable likes to go down for awhile sometime between 9:30 and 11:30 at night right when the RvR really heats up on my server. I missed a T3 run that took back 4 keeps that night, along with quite a big open area battle. /grrr

I'm a BW. Only like level 14 or something. I can't remember. Its been about a month since I logged in. Come to Dark Crag, and look for the guild Freeport Militia. Open > Core.

I have a 32 Archmage on the Azazal server. It's pretty kewl game but i havn't logged in for a week or so. been busy with work,raiding and contested calls. It hasn't left much time for me to Warhammer it much. Of the two games if I have to choose i'll stick with EQ2 for now.. the 'ole wait and see in the next expansion scenario. I like the fact that you can be a lot more casual with warhammer than you can with EQ2, I have to admit.. I love it when a tank runs up on me solo thinking he is gonna whack me only to find out after I stood there toe to toe with him, debuffed and dotted his ass, HoT myself with a few single target heals in for good measure and start in on the nuking this little caster winds up kicking thier ass,. by the time they turn to run it's to late, they die pretty fast with thier back turned dotted and nuked from behind :-)

Hell yes I love those Rambos that pick on us by themselves lol. I'm like, "Hey dude, I can cripple your dps by 50% permanently, cripple it by 99% for a little while by stacking our AoE deaggro, debuff you by 50+ strength, intel, ballistic skill and tap the living shit out of your AP. Now that you're doing so little damage that I barely even need to cast Lambent Aura I'ma start DoT'ing and channeling your ass into the ground."

They never learn lol, Archmages are squishy yes, but only against a Witch Elf or massed amounts of players. I've successfully fled from the combined damage of 4 destros in my self defensive / heal bot spec with little trouble.

The best tanks are the ones that come after you while your really low on health and getting pounded by ranged dps and start knocking you back like crazy. It's like "Thanks dude!" as you finally are out of range for a few seconds and heal up to full. Even better are the ones that do the same thing but knock you back into your allies who are coming to help you lolz.

Love my AM, it's a shame there's so many whiney bitches playing the class tooting their opinions on the forums. And Shamans? Pfft, I dueled one two levels higher than me last night for like 15 minutes before a ally SM came by and beat his ass down. I almost had him several times, all the way down to 5% before he could recover. They're not that tough, I just didn't have the AP to finish him off /sigh.

Only complaint is my server is low pop, so it's a bit slow any other time except between 7-11pm CST on the RvR side. But then again we're one of those rare servers where Order has the upper hand. We're hurting a bit in T4 due to lack of higher levels to take back keeps there, but everywhere else we own hardcore. We've had exclusive control over all T3, almost all of T2 (don't have enough lowbies to do much there /sigh) and soon our T3 war band will progress to T4 and be able to give Destro a hard time there too.

We had a chance to pickup a killer troub and our conjuror left due to RL kick in nuts. And khylan originally wanted to play his conjuror.

Personally I like the conjuror aoe dps. It sucked in RoK but TSO is heavily aoe favored. Even avatars we pulled have additional adds. Plus aerilik stated he is going to add more utility to summoners soon after the expansion. I have high hopes conjurors will be pretty good again in TSO.

So now with khylan on his conj we can have our conj work on gearing him out. And if our bards go emo in the future we have a fully geared out troub backup.

warhammer was good and bad for us we lost some good players but picked up even better players and were able to tailor the guild for TSO more. Instead of having 2 guards and pally for Rok. We have 1 guard 1 pally and 1 shadowknight.

We do however need another enchanter. So send us a tell you coercer/illusionists =p

Yea, I was in beta, just kept in on the DL. I played my trouby in beta with Elysium and made a conjy to run the AA, check things out and get a feel for it. I couldn't copy Khylan over there as my Trouby at the time was my main and the conjy is on a second account. so my conjy was your basic Beta bot with no mythical, no Masters , crap gear etc etc. I'm looking forward to seing how we can maximize our usefulness in raids through whatever else SoE throws at us.

For all you folks out there screaming.. fuck this, screw SoE, Etc. Etc. Remember this, Exceptional players are people who can do a lot with little to work with, giving up in the face of adversity will never get anything fixed. It's like being a band wagon fan, don't jump ship to the other team just because the grass looks greener. Summoners had it good in T7, weather the storm and it will come around. right now it's all about scout luvin, it happens. I know that as a conjy I probably won't put out the DPs of a wizzy or assasin, but you can bet your ass i will find a way to be a viable raider, and not on the sidelines.

P.S. Yes I played a trouby, not because I EMO /rage quite the conjy, but because the guild needed a trouby and there was already another conjy in the guild.
