I've decided to sell Laodaron. I've tried as much as possible to hold onto EQ2, I just don't have the drive or desire. I'm going to sell him so that I can finally just give up the game without the temptation to come back. I'll still be frequenting these boards, and I'll still be checking in on you guys. Have fun in EQ2.

If anyone thinks of an MMO I could play with like a 500 ping, let me know. I might end up at WoW to PL a toon to 80 and raid with WotLK. Who knows, I got alot of time in Afghanistan to think about it.

If you have a high ping, I know of a registry change that can greatly improve your Ping. In WoW I went from 190ish to 60-70 with this one change..

Here is what you do:

1. Do an /ipconfig and get your IP address and write it down.

2. Click START/RUN and type in regedit then enter

3. then dig down to: HKEY_Local_Machine/System/currentcontrolset/Services/Tcpip/Parameters/interfaces/

4. Now click on the interfaces until you see your IP address appear in the right side area.

5. Once you find it right click in the right side area (In the open area not on something) and select New/DWORD value.

6. Give it a name of (And it MUST appear exactly as shown here)
TcpAckFrequency

7. Right click on that and select MODIFY and give it a value of 1.

8. close regedit. disable yuor NIC and then immediately ENABLE it so the new setting is loaded.

9. Run the game and give it a look.

With EQ2 I didn't see as much of a difference as I did for Wow but every little bit helps..

Character transfer service is down, AND I can't get into game to put Lao up for sale, so it looks like I'm going to keep owning him for a while.
