The proc rate on the robe is still fairly good from a mana regen point of view. With my mythical pet, on a 2 minute 30 second fight on the training dummy, it proc'd 10 times, which is about a 4x a minute proc rate. Further testing is still needed of course.

This change does bring us in line with where we should be though, which is unfortunately quite low

It is still proccing on swarm pets.

The new proc rate ain't that bad. I might keep the robe on, even.

sweet, I hope that they keep it proccing on swarm pets since it would really help the regen rate. Xal, did you use swarm pets during your parse?

Now it will be a toss up between this robe and the shiny metallic robe. I just got that robe last night and haven't tested it at all, so if someone could answer a question for me: Do swarm pets count as 'hostile spells'. I could have sworn that they did, but someone was trying to tell me last night that they are not hostile spells. I guess I have a couple of things to test out now.

Swarm pets do count as hostile spells.

SMR is mostly useless for a conj as practically all of our DPS spells are at the speed cap via AAs.

Thanks for confirming that I was right about the swarm pets.

I don't focus much of my gear on alacrity items, but I did use a lot of AA on the conj AA line to speed them up, so it may be a little beneficial. Guess I will just have to test it out.

If you have 5 points in all the cast speed AAs, the spells are capped on haste and gear will not help.

I tested the robe a little more and it seems it is still very nice. This is a parse vs 3 training dummies 1 after the other. I finished with 60% power after the robe proc added 11k over the fight.

I'm 99% sure that gives more than bard power song, at least.

Extensive testing shows that the VP robe (Robe of Elemental Fascination) is better overall DPS than the Aramid robe. However for mana intensive fights, Aramid robe will be useful still for a mana regen point of view when you don't have access to a mythical'd illusionist.
