Dueling a Necro

Never been much of a PVPer so would like some advise on dueling a necro friend of mine. I dont have my Myth Epic yet, but I do have some decent raid gear and 5 peice Tier 1 shard armour.

Get your resist up for disease and mental ( I think) so they can't fear you... root his pet if it is melee type (or snare it then move away), ignore it if it is caster, use a scout pet and sick it on the Necro to interupt him and drop communion right after you start the fight by stunning him.

Dont forget the poision resists too.

generally, i usually start to planeshift, BM, and EU right before I accept the duel, then I recommend opening with Earthquake (knockback), stun him, stick all your dots on him and watch him die

Communion can be handy because the Earth pet knocks back etc.

Also dont forget you can stoneskin etc. Can save your butt if he manages to stun you at the beginning / if you get reisisted.

As for resists, you don't really need poison unless he has his caster pet out... Other than that, all the necro's spells are disease based

Only thing I have to add is try to time your earthquake so it lands right when the countdown ends.

Beat Necros many time over.....summon you earth pet, planeshift him, and he'll stun the shit outta the necro so he cant cast anything....root/slow his pet depending on Archetype....nuke the shit outta that necro....in a min or so you'll have a dead necro =)

oh and swarms pets a big no no when dueling as ive experienced
