I'm wondering what opinions are floating around about these 2 cloaks.

Is the void touched nice enough to wear as a primary when in non void zones? I've heard arguments that its currently the best non raid cloak for mages. I don't have any other void bane pieces that I'd currently pair this cloak with to take advantage of the stupidly broken proc bane procs tho :P


Also I'm thinking long term since I'm sure the procs will be fixed eventually. So which is better?

I'd recommend the Drape of the Void Touched over the White Dragonscale personally, even when they do fix the proc. Though, admittedly, will not be able to say conclusively until they fix the proc

Crevice

Drape of the Void Touched gives you 2 crit and 2 crit bonus, which works out at around 1.5% dps increase (assuming 80% crit), plus the proc which when fixed will probably be around 1% on non-void mobs.

Assuming the proc on the dragonscale cloak is up around half the time, it gives you about a 1.5 - 2% dps increase.

Void touched also has more hp and power, so overall i would go with that.

whats best

White dragonscale (if fixed)

Razshish flowing cloak (2 spell crit plus dmg and debuff proc) (Najenas Tower)

Cursed cloak of Thex ( 2 spell crit, 15 spell dmg, powerflux 3)

Im tending towards the Cursed cloak of thex with the powerflux 3. Like the constant effect, not a proc. Powerflux 3 gives 115 spelll and combat art damge and +3 melee/spell crit to pet. (Mystmore manor)

Of those three, currently the best is the flowing one. That however will end come GU 51 when it gets changed.

Of those three, I would tend twards Thex as well (after GU51)
