I have come to firmly believe that unless a Dev decides to start playing a summoner then this class will never ever again be a truly viable raiding option. There will always of course be the rare exception. Retiring from this game after being here from the start was one of the hardest things i have had to do in a long time, but I guess I just was tired of sitting the bench and watching the game go by from the sidelines. TBH though i can't blame the RL for that decision, we had at the time 6 bards, 2 wizzies, 3 Illies a coercer and a warlock to do whatever spell damage was needed in a fight. I as a conjy simply didn't bring enough to the table to replace another caster.

I think summoners are up next after the fighters. Arelik said that classes needed to be re evaluated. I can't remember if he said summoners directly or not, but he mentioned lack of desirability in a raid force and the fact that chanters are so OP. I think mages are getting the next revamp. Good for us, but bad of illies/coercers

Screw 'em. Even if their DPS is nerfed hard core, they still have insane utility that makes them always wanted (for example: Illusionist Mythical).

/agrees. Chanters are stupidly overpowered, and have been since SOE retooled their class. Maybe that will be a bright spot for Summoners if/when SOE actually gets around to look at us. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>

You mean since LU13? Because that's the last time Illusionists get a real look at. Oh, I'm sorry that you just have a small DPS issue, while Enchanters have had their entire core role turned into DPS because of the ineptitude of the developers to understand what an Enchanter is(here's a hint, it's not DPS, it's not buffs, it's crowd control).

Summoners get Tier 2 DPS (and only if they are worth their salt), and shitty utility that no raid wants/needs.
Don’t came here and compare your piddly-ass class issues to that of Summoners. So the fuck what if you cannot mez shit in epic zones. At least you can justify bringing your class along. Summoner DPS is the least out our concern. I would not mind at all if SOE was to take a look at our pet’s DPS. Understand though that would only be icing on the cake. Ask any decent Summoner who actually knows their asshole from their elbow, and they will tell you it is UTILITY we want, not more DPS.

Because passive buffing isn't fun? Just ask bards about how much fun buffing is. I'm glad you didn't even bother to read my post. So the fuck what if i cannot mez shit in HEROIC zones. What am I supposed to be a buffing class that does diddly squat DPS? If I wanted to do that I'd have rolled a bard. I rolled an Enchanter to do minor buffing and crowd control. The DPS came long after I started my character. I have, and always will be, a proponent of allowing Enchanters instead of DPS but to have a different ACTIVE role in combat. But since you have no idea what you're talking about. And you're fucking retarded as hell if you want utility instead of more DPS. You should be asking for as much DPS as a Sorcerer, then your problems will be solved. But instead you guys whine for more utility and you wonder what's wrong. No wonder you guys have so many issues.

Yups why not making raidzones more reliable on stuff like meezing etc? Bring some diversion to mobs not just pure DPS Kill Shit. It's getting boring, every class competes for the top5 in DPS now, even bards, furys get there sometimes. The game is out of balance completly, it needs to be fixed asap.

Hell I remember tanking raidmobs with my tank pets or pulling them (was it T5? Cant really remember lol but it was fun) or being useful for other stuff.

Yar I want to compete with Warlocks on Group Mobs and Necros should compete with Wizards on Singles. PoM should have been given to us not to Enchanters, so we would have gotten some desirability.

All the buffs, the pet issues, there are lists all over the board, did Sony every respond? No, not that I have seen anything about getting us fixed

Hmm, Pinski, someone who has been around as long as you should know that even if we get more dps with no utility we still lack raid desirability. If you are mad cause someone said that Enchanters are OP and you dont think so, well suck it up, they are. Are you worried that if Conjurors ever get fixed that you wont see "Group needs Enchanter then GTG" or 4 Illy's needed for raid?. Really, didnt Illy's cry for years for more dps.... SOE's answer Granted!! now you complain..... You cant get into a Group or Raid cause you cant mezz everything? You really need to try selling that shit somewhere else, cause no one here is buying. Think SOE screwed with you classes base style of play, welcome to the summoner forums. Do I think Enchanters need to be nurf'd, Hell NO! I think other classes should be fixed to balance and I think YOU need to take your nonmezzing ass somewhere else, for you get no pity here.
