Default +reuse vs +crit

Hi.

I've searched through the forums, and I can't find this anywhere.

I know that the priority for stats is +base>+reuse>+crit>+boe,

But how much better is ie +reuse compared to +crit?

When is it time to replace that +reuse item for a crit item...assuming you're not at max +crit.

Anyone care to enlighten me?

Would also be interested in knowing how +pet effects fit in to the same comparison.

probably depends on what type of buff, power flux 2-3 is pretty valueable imo.

If you go check out the wizard parsing guide it breaks it all down. This probably isnt 100% accurate but it should be fairly close.

Basically reuse will raise your parse by half of what the reuse gain is, while crit will add .37% to your parse per one crit. (this of course only being what you add to the parse and not your pet).
So an example would be 10 reuse will see about a 5% dps gain, while 10 spell crit would see about a 3.7% gain.

As for pet mods they seem lackluster so far unless the item in question also buffs the caster well. Ive let the mythical pet do his thing on a dummy and it seems to do a good 1k-1200 on its own frequently. Using that number and some of that wizard threads math I figured the one buff that adds 3crit/115 spell dmg to the pet sees about a 33dps gain for him.

This is probably going a little more in depth than I need to, but to put that into perspective you should be doing at least 3x your pets dps. So say you're pets doing his dps and you're doing 3300 dps on a dummy. To match that 33dps gain from that pet mod you only need 2 reuse (or 3 spell crit), giving you a 1% dps gain which would also be 33dps increase. Hopefully that makes sense.

the formula works the same for the pet. reuse trumps crit and with significant amounts of gear you can gain significant pet dps . my pet sits at 33% crit and 52% reuse and 1050 spell damage and parses between 2400 and 2700 on his own vs the training dummy

How does that affect your own parse though? What are your stats when it comes to +crit and +reuse

i sit about 83 crits and 29 reuse i lost about 15 crit and 12 reuse gearing pet but i am up about 2 to 3 k on the parse with the added pet dps when in the right group (illy troub inquis wiz conj sk)

for the record i wouls still prefer shared stats for pet... there are so few good pieces with pet stats its really hard to equip any without taking a personal hit in most cases
