If I read the spell description right, the offensive pet stance only really gives int to my mage pet, the rest is buffs to autoattack. Since my mth pet is already way over int cap, it adds absolutely nothing to my pets dps. Now, it also lowers my pets defense, so my net gain from casting it is actually negative
pos = 179 int, 65 attack speed, 39 slash, pierce, crush (no disruption) myth pet is allready maxed on int, so absolutely nothing for the mage pet
neg = lowers defense and parry by 36
why gimp my pets defense for nothing?
now if I use the defensive pet stance I get a ward, a rather large increase to pet health and added resists, but the drawbacks (that actually matters) are huge... 46% extra hate gain, a hate proc on all spells and increased agression. In the short fights that trash usually is, I really need to get that pet in and working as soon as possible, preferably send it in as soon as the mob has the tank on target, because it usually takes the pet a sec or two to get started. This means that sometimes when I am a little too triggerhappy and the pet lands its first spell before the mob is in camp and locked on the tank, it can pull agro. With the defensive stance im pretty sure it WILL pull agro. The drawback seems to be greater than the net gain from the added surviveabillity, since my pet already has more HP than me *blush* and very rarely dies to a direct AoE hit (a dot AoE that isnt cured is of course a whole other ballgame, but the added surviveabillity does squat in those cases anyway).
Pos = extra HP, extra magic resists and a small ward, nothing that I feel is really needed on the myth pet
Neg = huge agro increase, extra hategain on every spell cast added agression
so, again, the net gain of defensive pet stance is, for me at least, negative
thus, I am better off with no stance on the pet at all... sad but true
