Conjuror - Bubble AA
This post is actually intended for the raiding Conjurors out there.
My query is in regards to the AA skill “Bubble” from the EoF achievement line. Currently I am spec’d for pure DPS. I maxed out the Evocations for Unabate and the fast casting times. I also went down the Conjurations line. All my AA’s are in these two lines.
I was curious how many raiding Conjurors went down the Abjurations line and are having success with the skill Bubble. Recently I have been encountering a lot more epic mobs in EoF that have AOEs that annihilate my pets (Segmented Rumbler, Mayong, Etc). Since our pets cannot be attacking in order for Bubble to have a true effect, it would be necessary to know when the AOEs are firing. Essentially this means you have to time AOEs for this skill to have any real benefit.
How many of you raiding Conjurors out there use this skill? Do you like it?

Re: Conjuror - Bubble AA
I'm using it since you get some good benefits out of the AA line anyway, 2 triggers on BA and 5 seconds added to EV. As long as someone can call the AOE in your raid it works wonders to back it off for just a few seconds prior to the AOE.
I'm mainly using it against Rumbler, Mayong, Tactician, various other EH mobs etc with decent success. My only complaint is that Bubble bugs our invisibility spell. If our pet has Bubble on him, or has ever had it on (even after canceled) your invis breaks immediately after casting since it's *AOE* and applies to the pet /sigh.

Re: Conjuror - Bubble AA
You'd be kinda silly not to put a lot of point in abjurations anyways as a raiding conj. Bubble is easily worth getting, and it pretty much works how it says it does.
AE is incoming, make a macro to /backoff and cast call servant, your pet lives. It's really pretty simple. Although on Mayong today Bubble wasn't working for whatever reason when blanket (I think) hit. Your pet loses only a couple seconds of DPS which is far better than death. However if intervention is up use that first, as he wont lose any DPS.

Re: Conjuror - Bubble AA
Yep, bubble is great, worth getting. As I run act in the background all the time, I usually have all the ae timers and stuff, helps a ton. Combined with bubble, my pet rarely dies.
Although, as Arangor mentioned his pet biting it for no reason whatsoever, it does seem to happen at random. I had it in EH while fighting farstride unicorn (or whatever it's called), pet 100% by my side and not attacking etc.

Possess your pet with it on and you'll know why your pet dies at random.

Re: Conjuror - Bubble AA
Bubble is not a static spell on your pet. It's a spell that constantly refreshes, over and over with a 3 second duration.
While pet attacks break the spell, them being combat does nothing, the spell keeps on casting. Therefore, they can hit a mob and less than 3 seconds later be AE immune again unless they keep on landing hits. At the end, when it refreshes there is a very, very brief moment when the pet can die. It's annoying as all fucking hell, but fortunately doesn't happen much unless you are very unlucky.
EDIT: This also explains why it breaks invis btw.

Re: Conjuror - Bubble AA
Ah interesting, I hadn't thought to possess it. That still doesn't explain why invis keeps breaking even after you cancel Bubble. I have to pull out a completely new pet for it to work at all.

Re: Conjuror - Bubble AA
It's because the pet still checks for the spell every 3 seconds, whether its still there or not.

Re: Conjuror - Bubble AA
Is it a known fact that Bubble works againist the AOEs of mobs like Mayong and Segmented Rumbler?
I know that when the bards in my guild use Blade Dance (Bard AOE prevent) it does not seem to work against the AOEs of the Rumbler in EH.
