The following is a reply to post on Illy boards about the incoming nerf to procs affecting their dps.

Just as I said to my guild, Lithin, back to being a buffbot! Well, sorta. Enchanters will likely lose to Summoners on the parses now! Even saying that made my balls shoot up inside and shrank my peen.

This is ridiculous!

Actually I don't know if I should laugh or cry anymore. My Conj is at 76 and I can solo at least singles at lvl 78-79. But since groups are few and far I had started an Illy.

Now it changes! I feel cursed lol. No matter what I want to play it gets smacked.

Chanters are utility ffs. If bards were regularly outparsing rogues someone would notice.



I guess summoners have been gimp and chanters OP'd for so long that ppl really can't grasp that this is the way that it was supposed to be all along :/

I wonder if we bitched enough would they change the seed line to proc from all attacks??? maybe even make it raid wide...oh thats probably to much but one can dream This would give us something for the raid and after talking with some people we all think this would be hot.

Even if Magma Seed did proc from all attacks, it would still be mostly useless, the dot is way too long for it to benefit from any "real" damage, cuz it would overwrite itself. It would either have to be shortened, or taken away, and have the encounter damage beefed up, and maybe up the proc rate a little more, something to make it useful, even if it did proc on spells! Imo, take the dot away, encounter procs are ftw!

my coercer is gonna lose some 350 to 500 dps, my guildie conjurer is already leveling up an alt, as his zonewide is gonna dwindle by 1500 to 2000, the bitch rolled all the fucking proc gear

The part about enchanters getting out parsed by summoners now was from the Illy post he was quoting. The thread author was pointing out how sad it is that enchanters have been OP for so long and Summoners not OP that enchanters think they are supposed to out parse summoners. Of course maybe that Illy knows that too :/

Honestly I dont expect enchanters to lose that much more dps from the procs than anyone else. While they obviously proc guranteed procs like from the wicked wand and dark hood more often, from what I saw between parses enchanters are not procing X times X per minute items more than anyone else. I used to duo Unrest with an Illy back in the day. For the same proc gear we had they would proc with 10 of each zw pretty consistently.
