From what I've read, they said that they have no plans of making a mythical 1.5 or anything, which is good. They need to let it fade out with normal itemization. They said it will serve another purpose and it was theorized that they were talking about a clicky or a charm item, but that was never stated directly.

Personally, I would like to see our mythical changed to a buff that buffs our pet. It would give our tank pet more HP and it would increase the crit of our mage pet. That way, it will still remain usefull but allow for normal itemization and would faze it out.

Frankly, as far as the reported changes coming to summoners go im not in any way impressed.

This may change once given the opportunity to see things in action. But until that point, its a very miserable looking statement of changes.

was there comment on shared ability mods for pets? No.
was there comment on buffs like unabate and fire seed being made more usefull? No.
was there any indication that there would be a usefull group and raid benefiting ability to be given to summoners? No. (The debuff does what? we have NO substantiative detail to show it will actually be usefull yet.)
was there any indication to suggest we could compete dps wise with other "utility" mages? Maybe??? The proposed Enchanter changes and pet-survivability could be the only things that benefit this.

If changes start and stop at the debuff, i dont really see how we break out of being the red-headed stepchild as far as group and raid mage slots go.

Atleast let us see a REASON why its not a good idea to atleast in part share stats with our pet. Noones ever attempted (from sony's side) to entertain this.

This will want to be a damn good debuff.

I am wondering even more now, if the Devlopers even play the class. Kinda disapponted with just a debuff changes.

I so love the class, still do. Just wish I got to play her more often and could actually see in chat channels conj wanted for group/raid.

I don't see that very often at all.

Well Fyreflyte does play a conj, that's why some of your items have been pretty nice (SoH staff and conj set gear bonuses), but all he can do is band-aid summoner issues with gear...which he's for the most part doing a pretty shitacular job (summoned vengeance and less spell crit/spell damage on set gear for instance).

Overall they have no clue at all about the summoner class in regards to improving it and fixing it. They are pretty much firing blindly and hoping they can throw enough changes and bright shiny new shit at us we'll be too busy to complain and that by the time we do realize how terrible they did it'll be too late to get the real fix we've been yelling for.

Just saying, its not like you guys are trailing bards on the parse.

Your pet probably has no where near 100 crit now, or much base damage at all. If say, a conjy, who can probably top a wiz on an AE parse like Gynok or Palace Traps, has the same stats on his pet? He'd be ahead of warlocks, easily.

Of course, that's just a guess, but I'm just sayin, you guys aren't doing THAT bad.

I'm all for them doing what you suggest tho, but I just think you'll be higher than every class if they do that without adjusting stuff.

For one, they'd pretty much have to drop all pet modifications on gear. I think that gear is a waste of itemization as it is.

I'd love to try it out, I'd have to take some conjy parses and artificially inflate the numbers, but tbh I don't care that much and it would take too much time.

To see what a Conjuror pet can do when maxed on spell haste and spell crit, cast Plane Shift on it. That's basically it's best DPS right there, and it's only up for one minute out of every 7 (or 10-11 minutes if you don't have your set pieces).

and the parses you see on the traps in palace have that up already.....so you wouldnt really see anything higher than that.....tbh its where our pet should be apart from the cast speed

Pets usually sit at around 27% base damage and maybe at 60% spell crit in most raids.

If the pet inherited our stats, we would be way OP. The pet mod gear is getting out of hand and an inheritance system would work best, but they would have to remove all pet mod gear or it would just be insane.

We were never intended to do dps that competes with the T1 dps classes like wiz and assassins. We were in dire need of utility, and that is what we are getting. It sounds like they plan on moving all magic debuffs from brigs over to summoners by attaching them to our swarm pets (that won't need to survive). If it is a straight transfer, then we will be desired in raids just as much as a brig is. But yes, our fire seed spell needs some attention too.

Our pet survivability does need addressed. I think they should be imune to aoe effects that aren't direct. That would be an easy solution that isn't OP. Not being able to cure my pet is a pita for the wack a mole system that raiding is today.

Our dps is not the problem here. If you can't consistanly beat bards on the parse, you are doing something wrong. I am normally 3rd-4th on the zonewide parses and normally 1st or 2nd on nameds. The arguement that our dps needs boosted because chanters are out parsing us is a moot point. Their dps is OP and is probably going to be getting the nerf bat soon.
