rly? I was always sure that 48% (or whatever it is with all your aas) on a hostile spell is not a normalised proc.
Actually, if it were, sorcerers would suffer the most from mobs' dmg shields and enchanters - the least, and every arma/bolt/rift/fusion would be a guaranteed dmg shield proc (almost..8-12%*5, you know), and look it isn't nearly the case. And yes, chanters got owned by those, especially prior to prismatic fix.

@ the original poster

As others have said. Your enchanter or troub (or both) are slacking/doing somthing different to normal.

Look at your parses. At the 5-10k range for average gear you should see arias probably combining to be about 10-14% of your total damage. Im willing to bet your troubs be licking the backs of toads and staring at his monitor going "oohhhhh shiny!".

Are other members of your group questioning results also? do your wizards seem down a little on normal?

Enchanter as discussed will make a difference, but for the drop your reporting, i'd be looking at a autoattack /afk troub.

i would also place conj as the best proc class because of their resist rate being much lower.

I don't understand why there are so many illusionists out there that think it's vitally important that they use their +wis/int buff so the healer gets some loving. Their +pow buff because pow's important right? Then tandem their pet because "hey it's mine and I come first". Tandem self + rapidity and they're done!

No I can't spare a tandem for you. I'm already buffing my group.

Wis buff doesnt do a shit in a raid. Well, it doesnt do a shit anywhere. And no, they do not buff their + max pover group buff, because of see above, it is just plain useless.
Buffing a tandem on the pet does make some sense, actially, but I would buff a bard instead if i were an illu, the pet just dies to everything

We must be blessed with intelligent Illusionists then, Tandems all around!

I havn't noticed any huge reductions in numbers myself, but then I was never heavily reliant on procs for my damage. I use procs that increase my casting speed and re-use (poisonous fire earring and ethernauts signet), and just stock-pile all the base damage and crit bonus that I can.
I Think that Death Chimes is the only proc item that I still use really, besides our armour set, and that's because of the high +spell damage on it, and the damage amoutn of the proc is still pretty high even without a crit
