I have pet attack tied to 3 different dots and very very rarely have accidents.

I have /pet attack tied to EVERYTHING lol. Its completly for the win because i dont always open up with the same thing but i do always want my pet on the mob/s. As far as accidents go, never in raid because i pay attention and am very aware of the macro. In grps i have accidentally sent pet in when i tab target cuz assiting certain tanks is extremely annoying, but im quick to back pet off and cannot remember a time the macro has caused a grp to wipe. If you dont feel that you can control your clicking then dont add it.

Really trying to remember and only thing i can say the pet was on something it shoulnt have been was Gnorbel in lyceum didnt pay attention and pet was hitting mob that was taunting him.

And i did fuck up on emerald halls trial because i had pet set to protect self so it ran and hit the mob and blew the trial when the encounter did AE stun to raid.

In AoA against the dragon that would pop adds if pet got hit with ae....well pet was in attacking mob when shoulnt have been and got hit with ae and popped adds.

Those are what i can remeber with fucking up with pet......but still its not tied into a macro and sending pet off to something it shouldnt be.

If you accidentally cast your spell on a mob, but cancel it before it casts, your pet will carry on to attack anyway, even if you hit Pet Back Off. Once the pet starts casting a spell, there's no way to interrupt it.

And if you use a macro like that on a mob like Zarrakon or Thet-em-aua when you're attacking the adds, your pet will just look at you and not do shit.

btw, you dont want your pet to be set to defend you/itself. you want it to only attack when you tell it to.

I just have the pet attack red button set on my main hotbar so I just press number "1" on my keyboard and its done..

..and btw I have the main spells like CB and FA set on number "2" and "3" of my keyboard, my left hand is always ready to cast the hell ouf of it while using the mouse for the rest of the spells and other stuff on the screen..
