Don't do it. You'll only get in trouble with a macro like that.

If you accidentally cast your spell on a mob, but cancel it before it casts, your pet will carry on to attack anyway, even if you hit Pet Back Off. Once the pet starts casting a spell, there's no way to interrupt it.

And if you use a macro like that on a mob like Zarrakon or Thet-em-aua when you're attacking the adds, your pet will just look at you and not do shit.

What you should macro with Crystal Blast, though, is your Heroic Opportunity starter.

Make a macro with crystal blast and HO starter and pet attack

For times when dont want to send pet with crystal blast just use crystal blast hot key it self without macro.

I dragged pet attack, pet back off, summon pet all to a hotbar on primary 1,2 and 3.

Too much chance of you getting in trouble with it being attached to a hotkey imho. I have seen it too many times....however I do have that stupid dagger aa attached to some of my spells to help with the elemental unity. Probably doesnt help, doesnt seem like it does much, but, meh. As as posted above i do have the HO starter linked to a spell or two tho.

I just dont like the idea personally of having the pet attack button attached to spells... you hit the spell you can cancel quickly...but even if you hit pet back off it might not catch it in time. Then you get smacked, and the raid gets trashed and so on. I have seen it done before by other conji/necros in guilds I have been in in the past.

In all honesty I feel that dagger that might be the biggest waste of AA points in the game.

I have never seen it hit a mob over level 20 and it does very little damage.
Perhaps I need to test it more.

I also agree I never use /pet attack on any of my commands.

Perhaps I might be wrong on this idea. Can anybody think of any spell we might cast that /pet attack might be good? Elemental unity, Blazing maybe, or Plane shift?

Like i said earlier i have it tied to CB.We use cb rougly every 2-3 spell casts so any lag effecting pet commands really doesnt effect it.

I dont understand how people are having issues nuking things they shouldnt be.On top of the CB/ho starter and /pet attack macro is crystal blast itself...if ever need to just use CB without also sending pet.

Have had this set up for years...and cant ever rembering sending pet off to something i shouldnt have.

Unless you are soft assisting the tank meaning targeting through him instead of /assist then i really dont see a issue.
