Default Making a Summoner, need some clarification

What sets conjurers apart from necromancers? I understand the different damage style, but how about their performance / use in raids and groups? Perhaps also pet reliance and soloability between the two.

Conjurors do a lot more AoE damage, and are more reliant on their pet for damage than necros.

Necros are the superior soloer because of Tainted Heals, but Conjuror is the faster soloer because our pets generate much more aggro, letting us do more damage.

Do conjurors have any way of healing their pet at all? And is the gap for soloing that large? (example heroic named soloing)

We have one heal really, plus I still have that old staff from LT macro'd to switch in for the 50% (?) heal too.

What we do have, is a lot of stoneskins. Time it all properly and you dont really need heals that much.

Necromancers have the ability to heal their pet with a large number of the their spells, their lich buff means they suffer less from mana issues and they have a reliable feign death spell. So in general, they are the more efficient solo class as far as survivability is concerned.

For fun and a challenge, choose Conjuror

ugh 40%, Best used on a planeshifted pet. might grab you aggro, but if its snared you're good. When Planeshift goes off and it has above like 70% hp im pretty sure it goes back to full health. HP increases when planeshifted but doesn't diminish when it goes off. fun

Could be wrong. Has been a while since I have played

Yeddahd's Caduceus is definitely most effective on a Planeshifted Earth pet once it drops below 60%.
