Spell Damage

Just going through some of my parses and seeing which spells do the most damage.

This is from Freethinkers, I think we did it really late and didn't go past Othysis

Hehe really trying to figure out how to dps on my conjy. Some fights I am well over 2k and others barely over 1k for the same encounter type.

Group makeup is usually

Illusionist
Troubador
Fury
Conjurer
Warlock
Warlock/Wizard/Necro (I think this parse had a necro in the group)

I finished 3rd on the parse behind Ranger and Assassin who were both over 2k

Is this a normal looking order of damage? i.e Dissonant Note on top...

Snapping Mandibles, Fiery Annihilation and Blaze (Blazing Avatar) should usually be your top three damage sources (from you) and normally should be above any of your Mage pet's spells. Dissonant Note should be intermixed in the topmost spells.

I think a a lot of us would like to know what zone this was (to know what kind of encounters you faced) and I must ask if you're spamming the crap out of SM/FA/BA?

This is what I typically get in spell order.

If I have a troub and synergism on me the order is ALWAYS...

Dissonant Note
Snapping Mandibles
Fiery Ahniliation
Blaze/Dynamism
All the pet's spells with Shattered Terrain, Seismic Tremor, and Deluge mixed in near the bottom.

After that I cant recall off the top of my head, but that should give you an idea of what needs to be cast more.

And thanks that is what I was looking for, I think the only masters I am missing are EV and SM, so not lacking there.

I usually run through all my spells except for Dumbfires and calcify then try to alternate SM and FA with whatever else comes back up... (hehe at least in my head that is what I am trying to do...)

Here's a parse of my Tuesday run through FTH for comparison. Notes on my parse:
1. I was the first person perma-stunned by Othysis.
2. Died in the first 30s against Treyloth - Was standing a hair too close and a few people didn't get their Trauma cures in. Only hit 1200 on the fight.
3. No Malkonis - someone messed up on blowing the walls.

A couple of notes on your parse:
1. Your Troubador hates you. No PotM at all? Not even on the big AE fights?
2. The DPS from your pet procs seem a bit low. Should be casting BA and EV almost every chance you get.
3. The crit rate from you pet seems low too. If you fought all the way to Othysis, you should have cast Plane Shift at least twice in that time.
4. From raiding with Twig, I know you guys like to use MAs. MAs suck ass.

Been trying to level up my Guardian as of late, but I'll try and catch you in game and give you a few more pointers.

troub that night not our regular one it was someones alt.

I don't use plane shift too often and ba and ev are cast every time they are up unless the mob is just about dead. Don't want to waste it while waiting to pull the next mob.

Since we get new people in we use MA but most of the people that know what they are doing don't use them.

If SM and Fiery annihilation aren't in your top 3 or 4 your not using them enough imo. Pretty much exactly what Ish said, Dissonant Note/SM/FA/Blaze/Dynamism, usually in that order, are the top ones.
