Default GU:36 INT Line Changes

We escaped this time.
Quote:
* Intelligence 2 - Magic Leash: Removed power cost. Increased detaunt amount.
* Intelligence 3 - Minion's Warding: Is now a permanent buff applied to pet.
* Intelligence 4 - Arcane Minion: Is now a permanent buff applied to pet.
I would like to note that INT3 is the only AA buff we have that comes off after zoning (as if anyone cared, it's damn near useless unless you have some weird reason for wanting your "wet paper bag" of a Mage pet intercepting your melee damage). INT4 (and INT5) stays on after zoning.

It intercepts magic damage but yeah, same principle. I'm wondering why int 5 wasn't made automatic. Overall we stayed about the same but, I'm very curious to why they thought posses minion would get more use from the reduced recast.

Not like it hurts though.

The only interesting change is the Scout pet: moving from 14% melee crit chance to 20% double attack and the instant re-summon end line for it.

Oh too true, none of our changes hurt. I like the scout changes but, a few other game mechanics would have to change to make the more useful than the mage pet. I was really hoping they'd just remove a few more pet restrictions since they are theequivalent of weapons restrictions. I just can't see how any of the pet abilities applied across other pets would be an unbalancing shift in power. Actually though as I think about it, I'd like the damage absorption abilities to remain casts. Controlling the damage spread between pet and master is part of being a summoner and I don't want that choice removed.

I almost freaked out when I mis-read the notes, and you're thinking like I was...

Minion's Warding being permanently applied to the pet? WTF NO!!!

But then I realized it was the one AA buff we had that didn't stick while zoning, and was thus made to permanently stick. We still control the casting of the buff thank god...

Minion's Warding + /backed off Mage Pet with Bubble on + Intercept Melee Damage + Mage pet dies = Bubble Useless & bruised or killed Conjy =(

SOE is fucking stupid, end of story. These changes have destoryed any remaining doubts I had about their complete lack of understanding this game.

They looked at the aa's my ass. If they for 1 fucking second new a god damn thing about conjuror's the haste component of our Arcane Minion buff would have been changed and made reuse or something useful, but it remains. Its fucking god damn stupid.

In short, SOE has no fucking clue what they are doing. For your average conjuror, be prepared to lose every parse to melee classes. For those above average ones, have fun working your ass off all the while keeping your self and the 10 hit point pet alive while the scouts afk and auto attack to compete with you on parses.

You know, even during KoS beta I looked at that haste and wondered what exactly SOE was thinking. I'm waiting for the rest since they said this was part one. I'm hoping this is just a real live beta.

Maybe we can hope and pray the scout changes will get nerfed to worse than they were before this update?

Its gone. Its only spell haste now.
This is on test atm. I'm working with GMs to allow me to move my AAs from Conjuror to Summoner so I can get some ranks into it and /feedback the issue. Also notice it says passive spell, and so does Minion's Warding, however, Empower Servant is NOT a passive spell on testy yet. I think they meant for it to be.
Test:

Basically, they got rid of the haste, and made it passive. Honestly, its a step in the right direction, since I do believe we were the most buffing of all classes after a death. Bubble, Unabate, Empower Servant should all also be passive. Anyway, that's all I have atm.

I don't know if I would really call that a step in the right direction. I mean.... removing haste.... granted its your mage pet, it doesnt need haste.... but they didnt give you anything in return, they just took it away. Maybe it shows that the devs finally realized that haste isnt going to do shit for a mage pet, but all they did was take a useless part of a buff, and instead of fixing it, they removed it, you didnt get anything except them making it passive.
