Should have it macro'd with the first spell you cast, because it has the best opportunity to go off on incoming.

pet attack imo. i don't like macroing it to actual spell because despite Shadowstep being insta-cast, sometimes it takes 2 mashes of the same button to get the main spell to go off behind Shadowstep. that's annoying, carpal-tunnel inducing and breaks up the rhythm for a measily 30k hit once a minute. you can hit your pet attack macro mid-cast of your normal rotation without breaking it up

but if you want a spell to tie to, Soulburn is good choice

I ran a bunch of tests, and the only way SS will deal dmg is if the pet hasn't casted anything on the mob yet... macroing with /pet attack is best option. Around 1.5k is about how much dps it did zone wide for PoW, so not 100% useless.

Make sure /pet attack is before shadow step if you macro it to soulburn because it causes the mob to "hate" your pet allowing soulburn to cast, but your pet doesn't have a target if it's not attacking, so it will do no dmg. Kinda buggy any way you look at it.

So I've seen the three triggers pop up on a time warped reanimate, but I've never gotten more than one use out of it. Seems like when reanimate triggers it just cancels itself. Am I extra fail?

If you let your pet stay in on some of the red scripts now, 3 reanimate triggers wont save it. This is because it they inflict dmg multiple times.

For all other general purposes, reanimate works perfectly.

Thanks very much for the guide. It's very useful for someone coming back to EQ2 after a year. The only question I have is that you say:
Enhance: Master's Intervention: More of a point dump than anything. Doubling the amount it heals for just guarantees it to be a complete heal no matter what.
The affect for 1 point is only +20% heal, and 18 sec reduced reuse speed. Did you originally have 5 points in this when you wrote the text? Is it really worth putting in only 1 point? I can't ever remember even using Master's Intervention.

Also, what do you consider the "must haves" for the Focus Effects, now that they are choosable and not on armor?
