you take a primary class and split it in half the best you can to make it seem there are alot of classes available this is soe's vision. How many of these are truly unique? With the current class tree it makes it difficult to ever add a new class without destroying what little balance there is. There is no way to balance this without making them all the same so someone will always come up short. Combining all these class into one would not only BALANCE the game it opens up the possibility of new classes.

Ok, first of all I think that combining mystic/defiler (any classes for that matter) would be a huge mistake. No doubt a lot of people would leave the game because they no longer play the class they chose to play.
Next, the section refering to different classes being > or < the opposite class...where to start? First, I have seen a ranger out parse an entire guild on a consistant basis. Second, assasins have transfer hate for those fights when added hate makes the difference as well dishing out some nice DPS. Fury/Wardens cannot even be compared. Furies bring so much to a group of mages as well the ability to solo heal the group and rez the wizard when he/she freehand/cats a 30k Ice Nova. Wardens make being a shaman a breeze when they are in the MT group. A Fury can do the same thing but why take away buffs from a group of Int hungry mages? The same thing applies to Templar/Inquisitor. Why would you take away the buffs to a melee DPS group to heal a MT or OT?
As far as combining Defiler/Mystic, that would make debuffing a raid mob very diffucult. Defilers have 4 debuffs, 4 dot/debuffs and a ward proc to place on the mob. I can only assume mystics get as much or more including encounter debuffs. To combine the classes you would have to give super uber debuffs/dots or it would be debuff coordination with multiple shamans in the raid.
The only conclusion I can come up with, is the people you are refering to suck at their class. All I can say is gg noob l2play and have a nice day.
