Should Mystics and Defilers be merged into one Shaman Class?

If you feel that existing Mystics and Defilers would be better off if these archetypes were merged into one Shaman class, please vote yes. Otherwise, vote no.

I voted no, we will see what the combat revamp does for mystics, no more stat caps might just make them leet. Probably not, but who knows :smiley-wink:

I voted yes, I was much more satisfied with the shaman class in EQ than I am with a defiler in EQ2. Don't get me wrong, I agree that defilers are now getting a better deal than mystics, but what they did was just split the best things from a shaman in EQ and give half to mystics, and the other half to defilers.

The current situation just doesn't make sense or anyone happy. They should just admit mistake and do a Star Wars, and combine archetypes that should have never been split in the first place.

I didn't play EQ1 nor from what I heard do I want to, but at any rate. I voted no, because I like being different. I see so many mystics it sickens me. Besides, even though our wards take a little longer to cast than those goodie tooshoes I like being able to ward for more.

I like being different. Stupid reason I know. /shrug

This is one of those classes that they really had to stretch to seperate.. should definitely be merged.

Yep, this one, bards, chanters, clerics and druids shouldn't have been seperated. It leaves both classes as half-complete, and not nearly different enough to even matter.

Soo, your wards don't take longer to cast, don't cost more power, or protect for more, but from your main wards, there is no difference between the 2 classes, so why have both?

We have other things that are different (mystics from Defilers) ... personally i like the seperation and the fact that theres as many classes as there are. If we're going to combine subclasses then, you KNOW there will be some people then saying combine those into the original archtypes like Fighter, Priest, Mage, Scout.

They dont have archtypes anymore so why not combine some of them? Is it me or the idea of an evil cleric (inquisitor) is the dumbest shit in the world. They should combine some of these classes. There are no need for 2 shamans, druids, and clerics in the game. Keeping the class separate just so you can have some kinda hierarchy to the original archtypes is just dumb IMO. The original archtypes system suck ass, why do you think they got rid of it.
