You sound like someone who constantly does things the hard way just to prove that it can be done that way. I never said raiding with an SK is impossible, I just said in the world of min/max raiding the job can be done *better* by a guard or zerk. Maybe you should improve your reading comprehension before infecting threads with a terminal case of dumbass.

We have had a zerker off tank before and its no different/harder then having the SK.

FYI the zerker didnt suck, cause I know thats coming. With the right gear the SK doesnt get hit hard at all, no noticeable differences from the zerker. Better snap aggro overall IMO (HT, Rescue, DM). Really the only thing the zerker had over the SK in an offtank role was the group buffs he provided.

So as to your statement that it can be done "better" by a guard or zerk..you are wrong. Maybe you have just grouped with shitty SK's.

(obviously a gaurds better in a MT role and is easier to heal, but thats not in question)

Healers are unpopular on raids because they are BORING AS FUCK to play. I rather cast fireballs and lightning storm instead of (ward, ward, heal, heal, debuffs, debuffs, ward, heal, debuffs, cure). Doesn't take much to be a defiler trust me, no action at all.

You must play a shitty defiler then (if you even play one at all). Healing classing, especially MT healing classes, are extremely involved classes to play. If you don't feel involved and some sort of intensity during encouters that are "tough" then you aren't doing what you should as a healer.

Granted after an encounter is on farm status all you do is mash heal buttons because its so simple, but thats all a DPS class ever does anyone.

Nothing worse than a lazy healer. Try timing your auto-attack between wards, debuffs and dots/nukes. Parse 1500dps on named fights and remain #1 on the heals then tell me it doesn't take much to be a defiler.

Healers have a dynamic job because of the balance between healing and debuffing/dotting/DPSing

Boring? I played a mage DPS for a long time before switching to playing my Defiler.. and honestly I would never switch back. Playing a mage DPS is so much more "Boring" and button-mashing than a healer. The dynamic aspects of fights means that you have to be on your toes 100% of the time. You have wards to keep up on the tank, direct heals to throw under the wards or on injured DPS, cures that MUST get done ASAP, critical debuffs, and while juggling all that you're expected to DPS your heart out as well. Nothing beats the feeling of topping the healing parse and making it in the top 50% of the DPS parse. ^.^

But, on the reverse side I'll admit that playing a healer is not for everyone, it can be stressful, when something goes wrong it's the healer core that is easiest to blame. So, go back to your wizard, play what you enjoy. I just hope you're not as lazy on your wizard as you sound like you are on your healer.

defilers own all. very fun class to play and everybody loves you. you cant slack off and you can never take holidays. so the perfect class to play if youre saving to buy a house

MT Defiler has gotta be one of the most important and in depth roles to play. and i like it :P
