Default New Defiler

Making a Defiler and basically he will be my main so going to spend alot of cash on him anyways my question

Either going to make a Ogre or Barb

Was wondering Which would be the best line to go down as a Defiler

Str line seems handy but i heard it was more for Raid Defiler

Agility line looks nice for the crits

or int line for the extra boost to spell dps

Raiding im not so sure i want to do that will see what i feel like at 70/80

Grouping and soloing i will do around 50% each but i also want to be able take out Heroic named so if i catch a named up i can kill it and not have to call for help

Anyone have any advice please?

Cheers

agi line is very useful for soloing grouping. melee and heal crits + a stun.

It's a root, not a stun.

Roll a mystic and betray to defiler on level 80 - the difference between those two classes is small enough so you can easily adapt to being defiler later ;)

STR line is better for soloing than almost any other line. mainly because your dog wards you and you don't have to do anything, between the dog warding you and your spiritual circle (58 i think) and shroud, you get a lot of passive wards, so you can spend more time nuking. having buffs from the INT line is nice for spell damage, but if you're spending all your time healing yourself - you don't really get to use it.

For spell dmg, it's better to go down the cannibalize line on the defiler side.

don't underestimae the WIS line for soloing, since have faster recast helps both your healing and your spell casting.

remember that if you got AGI / INT, then you have max both your STR and your INT in order to be effective. Given that you already want high WIS for power and high STA for hp, that makes 4 stats to concentrate on which is all but impossible. (not impossible, but extremely difficult - even with end-game gear.)
