Hey where is my reactive component on Deathward?
Deathward seems to range from about 1.5k to 3.5k depending on tanks health so it definitely has its use, but is nobody else pissed at the fact that they just up and hand out a ward to Templars?
Since Templars get a ward component on Repent, how bout we get a 2k reactive when deathward gets eaten to bring it back up to scratch?
Sounds fair to me..

Re: Hey where is my reactive component on Deathward?
This was talked about a lot during beta. It's not balanced (one way or the other), they haven't fixed it, and I'm just assuming they won't. With the exception of the ae'ing trash and the Templar's damn lotto heals, though, I'm still pwning the MT templar on the heal parse.

It really should be the same ward amount, same recast, same power cost.
But have 3 charges/triggers of whatever ward amount it would have for the HP the target had at time of cast. IE 3x triggers at 3k ward if casted/landed at sub 10% hp.
Or something like that.

Actually, i'm pretty sure you don't.
Well, if you look at rough heal numbers, may be... But a templar is much more than that (as we are much more than simple healers, we got teh debuffs).
If raid spec'ed, pay attention to the avoidance report from ACT, now add blocks & stonskin's procs to the templar healed total, and tell me you still beat your MT temp.
As for Repent, it's definitely overpowered compared to Deathward. Deathward is more an emergency heal (and a very good one), but Repent is no less than one more huge heal. Hell, they can cast it every 30 sec or so, and it will always heal for 3K+
There is no comparison here

Unfortunatly guys in this game people are obsessed about appearing LEET, and where i think the parse weather its a dps parse or heal parse is a great tool. its overly abused. Some people just dont understand just becasue you didnt appeare at the top of the parse dosent mean you aint doing your job. I have a 80 defiler and without the clerics and druids the raid is incomplete. the shaman are the first line of defence with the wards , when they fail it goes to the reactives and straight heals.
i personally think wards must stay with shamans and reactives with clerics and striaght out heals group heals and hitpoint regan to the druids but hey thats just my opinion.

Agree. One of the biggest problems it seems to me is that very fact...so many ppl are hung up on fuckin heal parses, which is probably a contributing factor to why templars got a new spell to "bring them in line" with where defilers are in the healing department.
The truth is...Templars pwn defilers in all out heal capability when u add in all the other shit they bring to a group. Its just not apparent on parses all of the time obviously because of the ward mechanic... & ppl have just gotten too far into a routine of rating skill/capability off a fuckin parse. Shamans are SUPPOSED to be topping the parse. I highly doubt the devs making these changes are knowledgable about the classes. Which is sad imo

Re: Hey where is my reactive component on Deathward?
Actually what I find highly amusing was prior to wards showing up on heal posts, shammies were seen only as 'yeah should have so we can get their buffs and their heals will stack with the other healers in MT group but that's about all we need em for as they suck' space fillers.
Then wards showed up on parses and as they are the 'first to go' where heals are concerned, we started looking like, for the first time ever, we healed.
Then a pack of idiots started screaming about how wonderful they were and how uber the class is and blowing their trumpet about stuff most of us already knew or were happy with anyway.
You want to know why Templars got 'improves'? 1. they bleated about how crap they are on parses (ie half of their stuff, like our wards didn't, don't show up on the heal parse) and 2. even though most of them know they are good THEY DON'T BLOW THEIR TRUMPET!
Yes the whole 'look at the parse and therefore you can tell who is best and who isn't' mentality has come and now will stay. I guess that's progress for you.

Re: Hey where is my reactive component on Deathward?
Very very true
Im really pissed off with the "I rulez the parse, Im so ubber"
People must re-learn what the real job is, and stop overwarding the shit of everything and... stop BLOWING THEIR FUCKING TRUMPET!
This way we'll get some love from the devs... again, well, may be one day...
