I have looked and not found any descent guide to where to go for fast/efficient leveling. Well, there are a few, but they haven't been updated in a couple expansions....

ok, I'm almost lvl 30 on my Defiler, and want peoples advice on where to go to level from there, also any quests to avoid or MUST DO calibre quests would be nice to have pointed out, I've gotten my SK to 80, and haven't had any alts above lvl 20 yet, been playing since before DoF, and got stuck leveling the SK in whatever the new expansion was, so this is new territory for me. Thanks in advance for any tips you guys might have.

I will be mostly soloing, but having group options would be nice.

solo quest to 80 is the fastest way, with occasional grouping if you can get a good group in Runnyeye, or living tombs.

ok, but which zones are best, the old Zek/EL or the new EoF zones? also, good gear is VERY expensive on Oasis, so quested gear is a definate plus!

Of course you should do all of the heritage quests, they're all worth doing IMO. Stuff that you can use at lvl 30 and up includes: SBH (a must for any defiler), Glowing Black Stone, Manastone, Robe of the Oracle, Bag of Evil Eye, Eyepatch, Crook, FBSS, GEB, Screaming Mace, Stein.

Personally, I would just power lvl to 80, worry about the gear later. You'll make money as you're leveling anyways. Don't worry too much about gear or spells. When you're 80 you will have all the time in the world to make money.

There is also another way to go power lvl your toon if you have no money. IGE some plat Then buy legendary crafted gear and spells from here to lvl 80. The fastest way to lvl up soloing is to have good gear and spells.

I refuse to buy plat, but my wife has a Sage, so App4s across the board with a few select A3s.

Now, back to my main question, what zones are best for leveling each teir? That's what I really want to know, everything else is just gravy...

50-60 clefts, shimmering citadel
60-70 Sanctum, PoA
70-80 solo quest
