Default my parse on Tairiza the Widow Mistress

This was my first T8 raid on a shaman (my gear is legendary quested items and instance loot//crit was 44% with potions and such//+heal was 440//3 overloaded heal items//all Adept 3 spells, no Masters//I always try to keep important debuffs up when I have time) and we went to Tomb of Thuuga for the Widow Mistress. We tried about 10 times, got her down to around 5% health left each time, and whiped due to various reasons (usually offtank dying, spiderling add aggro all over MT warden, etc.) My question is, for this particular mob was my heal percentage (23%) too low or is it about right?
Normally I would think it's too low, but this mob is all about damage chronically being done mostly to the non-MT groups so I try to justify it...but is it justifiable?

Heal Parse:
All: (45:51) 53759427 | 19541,78 [Assassin-Execute-25833]
MT Defiler (me)| 1885101 HP23%
MT Warden | 1281243 HP15%
OT Warden | 1144096 HP14%
MT Templar | 1109019 HP13%
Fury | 1079719 HP13%
Fury | 1042708 HP12%
Necromancer | 242209 HP3%
OT Paladin | 87704 HP1%

Main tank group was Guardian, Defiler, Warden, Templar, Dirge, Brigand
heal % doesn't matter. at least not for figuring out whether you did enough heals or not.

or to put it another way, there is absolutely no points in saying if your heal % is high or low. heal% measures how much of the total healing came from you, it says nothing about whether the total healing was aqequate or not, high or low.

with a 3 healer mt group and assuming that you weren't trying to healblock, the spread looks decent.

Your HPS works out to 685, which is on the low end assuming your tank and group are getting hit, although the two other healers in group may be the reason behind it.

heal parses aren't like DPS parses, you have to read into them to get useful infoz.

If anything, being over 1k HPS is a good number to strive for, although again - it depends on the situation and it may not be the right indicator at times.

It would be hard for me to try to healblock as my recast is still around 12.6 (on group ward) and I try to redebuff all the time. The tank wasn't gettting hit too much really, it was mostly every other group that was taking the beating from the many adds.

Our group was usually standing strong while the others weren't due to cocoons, and when we'd whipe we'd be one of the last to go (when Warden would start getting all the aggro) and when the tank went down first it was when it would take the non-MT mages too long to get the group-stun/stifle off of the templar for him to arcane group cure us and by the time it was all off, I couldn't get wards up fast enough to save the tank (I used my control cure as much and as soon as possible.) What info can I get to see how well I did? How will I know if I was adequate, high, or low?

Like Pantheya said, there's no cemented way to really gauge how well you're healing, like DPS, other than if you're keeping MT and your group up.

However, 600HPS is a bit low for a mob that does tend to AE often, and sacks figured in. With how highly the Warden parsed, was the MT always in the green and not taking much dmg, or were they doing a considerable amount of spot healing on the raid?

And your MT Temp doesn't have Steadfast?

MT was almost always in the green, until he'd start going down really fast at random. Most of the sacs were not on the main tank group..it happened only a couple of times. They might have been spot healing, because those other groups sure needed the help. I spot healed/spot ST warded a few times, but I tended to try to keep my wards saved for when my group got sacs and such.
Don't understand why my HPS was so low--I was doing everything I could as far as heals went.
Also, this parse includes the moments when we'd whipe and have to go back and clear a lot of spiders before starting the named again, in which case I was usually rebuffing and just plain not healing at all (was uneeded). However, the spiders went down fast so I don't know if this would even effect the HPS much.

I wouldn't be surprised if our MT templar was using a PvP spec =\..a lot of people don't have mirrors on PvP servers for some reason. Though, I'm looking at steadfast with it's 2 second duration, how would he be able to predict when the stifle was coming?

If you win, you did alright

healparse is limited in usefulness. definitely set your act up to show HPS as well as heal%.

there is no set in stone rule, but an example of reading parse is:

your HPS is 1400, your (2nd MT healer) warden's HPS is 1000

This means you did a lot of healing (generally anything over 1000 is a lot of healing) and the healing wasn't wasted because your warden also did a lot of healing.

on the other hand, if your HPS is 1400 and your warden is at 200, you were probably blocking the warden's heals (or he was AFK) and your % number is likely artificially inflated - meaning that if you weren't healing as much, the tank would be just fine, just the warden's parse would be higher -in other words, some of your heal casts were a waste of time and you coulda cast something else creating more benefit for the raid.

It's really situational. And some of it is playstyle choices also.

I dunno if my example helps explain anything...

Yeah that makes sense. We're trying again tomorrow and I'll keep an eye on the HPS. I don't think healers were the issue in this raid; after all we had only 3 mages, which includes the illusionist. The healers had it down really well until we just ran out of tools..the fights were too long.
I am so glad I was in MT group--being a healer in the other groups looked awful!

You said you guys made a good deal of pulls, and with every wipe came long with 3-5 mins of straight spider clearing, that can definitely lower your average. Also, it sounds like your tank just wasn't taking much damage, which reflects on your heals, so don't sweat it, if you kept them up, and you top the parse, typically, you're doing well.

I think there's a 3rd possibility to that, and could just be that you're an exceptional healer. A large difference between the MT Defiler and Warden on an encounter like Tairizia doesn't mean you're cockblocking. You could be proccing OH's/Runic Covers/Hateshield often, and just be doing a kick ass job at preventing and stabilizing.

So we did Tomb of Thuuga again today, and we did it easily! This time we had deity miracles planned out, and we had an extra templar this time in OT group. We also had a coercer .
My HPS were about 1200, and I'm pretty happy with that for now (though I did have coercive healing =\). In second came the MT templar at 600 HPS, but I don't think much healing was needed. How many HPS should be expected (typically) when we eventually get to VP and T4 raid stuff?
Can't wait to get all those procs from the runic helm and such! That's a long ways away though...

1k-ish. just from you AND the templar, not you OR the templar as on that fight. very roughly speaking of course.

and just fyi, the mob that drops rune helm is easier than even the trash in thuggah. so really, shouldn't be that far off hopefully. of course he is a greedy fucker that hasn't dropped it for me in months...wait, what were we talking about?...
