Yes, for a few months it was (in KOS -- I remember it raping parses on Cheldrak for the few seconds it was up).

Anyway... yeah. Difference between the two are marginal. But if you want to get down to the nitty gritty, defiler is a caster, mystic is more melee based. There are a few noticeable differences (torpor, debuffs, epics) but the main difference are the AA's, which streamline each class into those two roles (aside from healer). That's it.

Also, closing note: I would betray back to Mystic if you're trying to level up, then switch back to Defiler. Far easier (at least, in my opinion) as Mystic to solo grind quests.

The Description specifically says GROUP MEMBERS in a radius around the totem.

Only partially correct. Cast it, read it's tooltip in your Spell Effects window. Wards raid and group members nearby.
