Perhaps, but Coagulate is one of the, as you might say, 'lesser important things', SoE gave us Shamans to prevent that from happening, so why not use it? I see most Shamans spec AA points into their health buffs which are smaller than Coagulate. Plus, a dozen or more "things" have to occur to get through the raid content in one piece, Coagulate is simply one more tool at our disposal... -shrug-

If you don't have the Star of Malice and AoE blockers in every group, your scouts don't interrupt enough, and your DPS is too low to take down the raid mobs, there is far more important things that need to change than getting STR line.

Are you raiding TSO? Because clearly you aren't if you made that statement.

Re: Heal crit or dog line
I quite like the STR line. It adds a lot of bonuses which I am not willing to drop. Coagulate is a must have in my book. It has saved mages / healers quite a lot of time, both in groups and raids ( sometimes it has even saved me !) and it's nice to be able to just fire up a group heal and get them all up.
I am not specced for ROA atm and so far I don't regret it.
Heal crit line is pretty much useless, there are so many items with great + heal crit on , and +heal as well, that it's a waste of AA to try to get more.
Add to this that in a raid you'll most likely have a lot of buffs on you that will up the heal crit anyway.

Re: Heal crit or dog line
With all the AAs in the str line my dog does between 8-9% of my ZW healing which is far more then enough to justify using him all the time. Thats not including the AEs he avoids. Have the str line and litany is a no brainer this expansion with TSO AAs and if you are not using it, then I dont know what to tell you.
As for coagulate, I am using that line instead of getting Alacrity. It has saved our coercer and swashy on multiple occasions and even saves the tank here and there. (I mirror spec to Alacrity for less heal intensive fights)

With all AAs, mine did 3% AT BEST. I don't believe that something doing around 100 HPS can be nearly 10% of anybody healing.
But anyway, to each his own, as long as the mob die (or the raid wipe but not because the MT die or lack of our debuffing ) then we are doing our job. Dog AA or coagulate or heal crit, none are really needed to do what we have to do.

I meant to say with all AAs in str AND in TSO dog abilities. If you still dont believe it ill find some parses when I get home and post them.

I can see how you could get those numbers, I believe sacred follower and spiritual ally stack, So it will hit more and proc more, but really, on a raid unless its trash I'm running in heal stance. And if I'm in a group solo healing I am in heal stance. And if im in a group not needing to heal then seriously ditch the other healer and grab someone who can dps.
So really when it would be most beneficial to have it put out those kind of numbers it won't. Not to mention how much spiritual ally slows your cast speed on wards and heals. The measly 16% haste (if maxed) doesn't really compensate for that either.

Re: Heal crit or dog line
Im in my heal stance 100% of the time so these numbers are with that taken into consideration.
But TBH is was extremely stoned when I did my respeccing and forgot that the dog stance supposedly doesnt work while in my heal stance. Ill need to double check this shit and maybe respec when im sober.

Re: Heal crit or dog line
I finally respec'ed back to dog line. In raids, he hardly ever dies. In groups, the only instance where he absolutely blows has been Ferzhuls. I can't keep the little bastard alive in there. Nonetheless, it is impressive how well he has improved since the EoF days.
