Default Re: Pewarding

I see a lot of Defilers having this problem in grps I am in with my coercer and I don't really understand it. I spent a lot of time raiding with my defiler a couple of years ago and have occassionaly blown the dust off my defiler by request from friends. I still don't have this problem and my advice (which most defilers are offended by and I don't know why) is to preward with your grp ward and after the pull use your single ward. I do cancel my single ward before each pull because it will cause aggro. I use profit UI and when you get used to it..it will be a habit...it will also keep you alive

Because Defilers are so good at generating power I focus a lot on Stamina and have my health up to 10,000 so in the event I get the first hit I can take it until the tank pulls it off me.

As a side note...my defiler is no longer in "raid gear" and imo would be considered average with T2 shard armor and adpet IIIs
Hope this helps some.

Those wards dont cause much agro, they just cause more than 0.
The tank just needs to do anything on the mobs that he pulled and your agro will be nonexistant.

If the tank fails to do that, he just plain sucks. No other explanation.

It depends on the fighter class and spec a little too, more so when gear is sucky. With all the recent fighter changes, I tend to die more if I have a warrior tanking multiple adds.

On some pulls the tank will need to body pull a mob out of a mess to avoid other adds. In those cases expect to take aggro for a second, but the tank should (if they know wtf they are doing) snatch it right off of you with a taunt.

A tip of advice for body pulls get to the max range of the tank so he/she has ample time/distance to catch whatever may have aggroed on you. Once you are sure he/she has them all, then go in.
I would disagree with this section. I find it best to stand near the pull spot so if I do get aggro I am near the tank with the mob so they can quickly pull it off of me. Another thing you can do is use your aoe deaggro fear and your single target fear. Note that this can be VERY risky so use with caution. However those fears have saved my ass and thus the group several times. Just try to position yourself so the do not get feared into adds. If you reaggro something when its near a friend social aggro will kick in. Short answer is yes, always preward. If your tank cant handle it find a new one.

LOL if the tank is body pulling you can't be up his ass... unless u plan to body pull for him.

Max range is typically the pull spot where the casters are standing.

However, please do try and let me know what the tank says to you. Most tanks get really pissed off when you fear the mobs as well... only use that as a last resort if the tank just sucks that bad.
