Default Deadly Bane Warding

I've been gone for about 6 months but i sorta get the impression that we at least came out even in terms of gear this expansion. I've read a few things about Bane Warding & although its an effect attached to Shaman gear, as far as dmg , i think it goes alot further in rounding out Defilers than it does with Mystics who have the option of CA's.

Anyway...i wonder how much of a stretch it would be for SoE to add that effect to our spell base. As it stands now that effect is gonna be gone when the gear is obsolete but why not make it a class specific effect.

The ward component on our Bane of Warding line could be revamped to deal dmg as the ward is consumed...OR even " Death Ward "

Change the ToS AA enhancement so that it would actually BE a Death Ward. The spell could use some love anyhow...why not that?

I saw the thread on Crystallize Spirit & was thinking. Make the buff cast a group spell that works like the Fury buff. When the buff is up, it automatically puts a new spell in everybody's spell book & they hotbar it... give it a maximum 5 crystals/charges for each group member... on a 1 min recast (give or take )

Maybe even increase the chance of recieving a crystal on a kill.

It wouldnt change the spell too much from its original design but it would make it way more useful & less of a hassle.

Just a couple of ideas to toss around... gear is fine & dandy but its better to address small class balance issues on a fundamental level.

According to todays patch notes the damage on it was nerfed. Not sure by how much though.

"All Bane Warding spells now deal less damage and cannot trigger more than once per second in PvP combat."

Fortunately it's just a delayed fix note for bane warding in PvP combat only. At least I assume so..haven't logged in today.

It now says the whole "cannot proc more then one time per second" on PVE servers as well. Not sure where the patch notes writers get thier info. However it didn't seem like the dmg value was lowered much if at all.

The "once per second" rule wouldn't make a big difference in PvE. In PvP it was damage shielding even procs, so it could hit multiple times in a second.

Parsed 1800ish for me on trak last night. So I guess it wasn't tweaked all that much for us.

Yeah, patch notes on bane warding are mostly for the pvp crowd - before the nerf, scouts and fighters would run up to a pre-warded shaman and with a fantastic assortment of autoattacks, procs, flurries, ca's and double attacks, kill themselves virtually instantly.

While it may or may not have been funny as balls, it was clear it needed a nerf.
