I haven't tested AGI for ages, so it might be different now, but the reason i go STR is cause our melee damage pretty much blows while dog does DPS even if we're casting.

you don't just get the 16 haste. you get a pet whose damage goes into your parse. especially since there is a shaman tso endline ability with an extra attack, and our dps stance has an extra pet attack, this seems like it would far outweigh 8% reuse on damage spells (the only long reuse duration of which is defile) in my opinion

The two raid instances where I can actually play with this spec is Palace and SoH so there are not a ton of AE's to really worry about that would actually kill the poochie. He pretty much stays alive for me on the trash shit we are killing. This spec has also worked well for me in those group instances where it seems like the AE immunity is not working.
