We have to do something to get defiler cast times addressed. I don't know what, but its been a problem for years thats largely been ignored despite numerous threads about it. Honestly, its the only thing I don't like about this class, being on a pvp server. The shitty cast times kill any chance I have at being decent in pvp.

meh, the cast times do suck, but if you just preward anytime there is the potential to get attacked, then you're fine.

Plus, once you hit the high 70's just get a bunch of Benevolent Alacrity gear and you won't notice it anymore (with Heal stance AA and a lot of Benevolent Alacrity gear, my single target ward casts in ~1 sec and grp in ~2.5)

but imo, wards are worth the cast time

Nyquist you on a PvP server? Wards are fairly balanced for PvE groups and raids, but not balanced versus PvP auto-attack and combat art damage. Bane warding helped this but too many whiners that saw shaman as an easy kill got it nerfed.

Just try a /duel on PvE against a high dps class in decent gear. Tell me how you do over the course of 10 fights.
