So they said it'd be a bit easier to hit orange con mobs. Has the pet's hit rate increased any or is it still garbage?

I dunno about the hit rate but I've noticed how many mobs in RoK use green encounter aoes. Even if the dog does hit he can't immunise against these can he?

Edit: Sorry: meaning to say the dog will die. Lots. Regardless of the people on the official forums who say the dog need never die with correct positioning.

Whether the ability is encounter-based, or a true AE, the dog will not be hit by it if you have the final in STR line.

I understand the Str vs. Sta line debate, as far as dog heals vs. faster cures and Coagulate, but no one has discussed the effect of the MT (or OT) group losing 16% combat haste without the dog up. I think the fighters and scouts would skewer me if I told them they were going to lose that. Has RoK gear pretty much capped combat haste?

As I see it, its your call, not theirs. Yeah, haste can be nice to kill it faster, but what good is that haste when they die to an AoE that Coagulate could have kept them alive for? You are the healer, you know what keeps them alive better than they do.

I have permanently named my Dog "Ammo", all he's good for is launching at mobs I want to pull and am to lazy to walk to.

WTB EQ1 Shaman dog that actually was "decent" once fully buffed.

I agree 100% with the Shaman AA setup, as for the Defiler setup, mine is a little different, but basically the same thing there as well.

SO whats the general concensus on Hexation? I use this on trash( vp for example) all the time the effect is nice, the immunity is lame but since we blow through trash so quickly i use it all the time.

On named fights i get it on on the pull and then recast when I am able to.

I have a reletively decent gear set up with casting speed and reuse gear depending on our chanter situation so casting/recast isnt an issue. I never have power issues being in the Mt or OT group so the power cost from each aa isnt a big deal to me..

That being said is it worth dumping hexation to get curseweaving instead or should I just stick to what I have? I wanna hear more opinions!

( I have the exact same aa lines Raz posted except hexation over curseweaving )

not having curseweaving would be annoying to me. I am so used to the speed of my debuffs that I think I would scream at the computer if they were slower.

Since we preward prior to pull, our debuffs should be some of the first to hit the mob and as such, are crucial to the beginning of the fight. Having the debuffs cast faster and resist less is way too important to give up in my opinion.

So with the combination of the cure spells to just the one, fast casting, single target cure. Why spend the 8 AA's in the Herbal Expertise skill? Has someone come up with at better point distribution to maximize effectiveness with that change? What is the new best place to put those points?
