Re: Stat cap?
for which stat(s)?
like Wis/Int/Str/Sta/Agi?
Edit: btw, I think it's [15* level] + 20 for those stats (at least for Int affecting spell damage...)
For a Mythical's X% of wisdom added to base heal amount, however, it goes well beyond this, as I saw an increase in heal amount all the way up to 1850 Wis (and maybe farther, I just didn't try any higher than this)

Re: Stat cap?
Alien - Don't listen to the mythical bit as he is a mystic, and WIS does NOT boost our heals. In fact I would recommend taking Nyquists posts with a grain of salt in the defiler section.
Stats (str/agi/sta/int/wis)
Hard Cap : [ 15 * level + 20 ] = 1220 at level 80.
Soft Cap: approx 800
Here's the link where I snagged the info from as it has some other resourceful information you may find helpful about caps.

Re: Stat cap?
Here is a breakdown of all the stat caps for you.
As already mentioned for attributes (str, int etc etc) The cap at level 80 is 1220
For heal crit 100% (not a true cap but anything over 100 is useless)
For heal mod 1/2 your base heal amount
Base modifiers (spell, heal, CA) 100%
Casting, recovery, and reuse speed 100%
DPS/Haste mods 200
For offensive stats it is a little different. Alot of offensive stats are "contested" meaning that the level of the mob affects the stat. For crits (spell, melee, ranged), DA, etc etc a good 'cap" would be to attain about 118%. That value will give you an effective 100% against orange mobs.
I am not entirely sure what the caps are for mit and avoidance. I do know that they are contested however so the level of the mob partially determines your effective stat.

Re: Stat cap?
btw, I was just pointing out that there are some exceptions to the 'hard cap' well at least one exception...(while this is the defiler forum, some people other than defilers read this)

Re: Stat cap?
+heals does affect wards
if you examine a ward or heal spell with no armor/items on, it will tell you your 'base' heal amount; however, if you have items on with +heals, it will change the numbers you see when you examine your heal spells
so from the 'naked' spell amount, you can determine what your +heals will max out at (don't forget to take into account any armor with +Base Heal amt on it, as this will also affect the max to +heals)
e.g. take off all your items, examine your ward:
if it says 2100, then your max +heals for that spell will be 2100/2 or 1050

Stating that your mythical gives you a heal boost even up to 1.8k+ on WIS would do nothing for a defiler since;
A. Our mythical does not rely on wisdom for +heal mod
B. 1.8K+ would be retarded as that is WAY over the hard cap
We don't provide advice to other healing classes on this section... Umm I think that's why it's named "Defilers". What boosts your heals to your mythical is irrelevant to a defiler, and may be confusing to some seeking basic advice.

Are you seriously this dense? My post was an analogy to an terrible question, it worked perfectly.
The question was.

Please tell me one instance where all spells are available that you would use Oberon over any other spell. One situation, to make use of the stun.

After explaining a few instances I said.

Which is completely valid if you have any form of reading comprehension.
Let me say this, do not come in here nyquist to start flames or arguing about illogical points again.
