Re: Grumble grumble grumble, gimme CH!
:D I like pissing people off. It makes me happy. If ever someone on a flames site takes anything I say to heart, then I pity them IRL.

Re: Grumble grumble grumble, gimme CH!
As an Inquis, I loves me some Coercive Healing (and/or Time Compression). We cast friggin slow and it annoys me.
However, I understand that if there's a Shaman in the group he/she should get it. Wards are better and blah blah whatever. *pouts*
Seriously though, I didn't know you guys don't get anything to speed up cast time. I have some AAs that help by ~14%. Heal stance does another 15%, as does the Mythical. Also my shard gear speeds up cast time by a few percent here and there. And I thought I had it bad.

No doubt CH, TC, and UT are great buffs to have. Sadly the only casting speed we get as defilers is our heal stance, not sure about mystics. Otherwise we have to rely on racial abilities (iksar racial changes FTL) and gear.

The ONLY casting speed ours does have is the 15% bonus for non-damaging debuffs. With our class AA tree, I'm not sure why that was thrown on there, though it does help Bane of Warding out.
Mystics get 15% beneficial casting speed on their healing stance, but theirs also slows down ALL detrimentals (including their non-damaging debuffs). Frankly I don't think either shaman should be penalized at all for non-damaging debuffs while in heal stance. If either shaman needs more BONUS to debuffs, it'd be the mystic, but I'm fairly certain they wouldn't want to give up their current casting speed bonus to achieve that (and I can't blame them).
I do wish ours had beneficial casting speed or reuse to our beneficials, but I don't want to give up our 15% base heal bonus in any way, shape or form to get it. We get the highest base heal bonus of all priests on healing stances. I think one of the druids may have gotten 15% base healing, but that's the highest.

Re: Grumble grumble grumble, gimme CH!
Honestly, on this topic, I defer to the raid leader.
Really, unless your raid leader is a moron, they know who CH should be on. So it takes any personal issues out of it. Raid leader says it goes on shaman, it goes on shaman. Raid leader says the cleric has been crying a lot at night and threatening to stop hugging people if they don't get CH, hell, maybe it's in the raid's best interest to have a little less heals and a happier cleric.

In that case raid leader and/or cleric potentially stand in the way of progression. Not that one buff is going to bring down raid, mind you, but selfish attitudes (and giving in to them) can. Allegedly. In my opinion.

My view on this is bigger wards>all. The less damage the tank takes the better.
