My advice to you from the OT group and you are stuck there is maintain all your debuffs on any and all named, single target ward the weakest hp players in your raid, cross cure/heal and always be ready for when the OT grabs agro.

I get stuck in OT group sometimes as there is a Mystic in my guild who has a lot more senority than me. If that is the case there are several fights where I will still top the heal parse with group wards, well timed ST wards on tank and spot warding/healing others in raid. I'll also usually be the top DPS healer in the raid.

Healing OT or other groups can be alot of fun, if you are allowed to do it without another healer.

There are enough items out there that will increase the groups dps (Tyrannus Wrist, Bane Warding, etc.) where a defiler can serve as great utility for the raid. It's also fun to put on a few pew pew items and see what you are made of.

Shadow warding irritates me. In addition to what Zionn mentioned, if my larger ward gets overwritten, then I have wasted 2 seconds of cast time where I could be debuffing (which the mystic should be doing rather than overwriting). For the most part, shadow warding is completely unneeded. If you cannot keep your tank up by yourself, then roll up a bard and a joint, puff puff.

From OT group, I keep up group wards and keep singles up on the mages in or out of my group that tend to die alot. yes, you Berrbe.
