I did 44881 AGI / 4748 STA. I didn't focus anything into infective bites because... well... I don't use the dog. I have crits, cures, and a little offense. It's what works for me.

Are my AA's the best possible out there? Hell no, there are awesome abilities with the dog. On the other hand, my AA setup does not rest in the hands of a weak dog. While other shamans are recalling / rebuffing their dog in combat, I'm keeping the people alive.

I did not meant to insist that you did take it was only stating that the best part of that line requires the dog. I might recall my dog from attacking but I certainly never re-summon it.

Just from my point of view: you can still kill these mobs without the dog's aoe immunity proc, 16% haste and the ward proc don't mean that much.. haste is good for your MT and maybe some scout that's in the grp for hate transfer.
I had agi/sta for a while or agi/wis, don't remember.. but we still killed PHH, Wuoshi and Mayong without more effort. Aoe immunity can help, but i use to still cure when i see Wuosi's red lightning before he casts the poison aoe, for example so it doesn't kill us even if his aoe kick follows it.

Oh and we only have one defiler, so I'm always in MT grp.

Most of the time I am an off tank defiler, however I can move to MT group at any time and we don't seem to much if any survivability. Parses are subject to how much damage the tank is taking so hard to use those as a measuring stick. But I can top out the parse just as easily as any other shaman, if anything I think my healing ability has gone up. Like I said, I lose the debuff abilities and dps the dog gives, and I traded it for superior healing ability.

I'm tossing around this idea and will try it out soon. AGI line 4 4 4 8, sta line 4 4 4 6, and wis 4 8. This would give me max heal crits and ritual and boost my cures. Dunno if the cure boost is a help though, never tried it.

---yes my observations do include wuoshi, mayong, and avatars and I believe I don't lose anything, personally I think I have gained.

ON this topic theres no reason you cant time your cures with out sta line if you use casting animations.

So does everyones dog die this much? Maybe like 2-4 fights per zone it will die w/out me dying, but pretty much only have to recast the dog after I've died.

You do know that the only way for 98% of your dog's abilities to work is if it is actually hitting the mob right? Only thing that doesn't require your dog to be attacking to work is the haste. Everything else pretty much requires the dog to be attacking. Having said that it is a royal pain in the ass to try and park your pet in locations where it is hitting the mob and not subject to repoiste dmg. Add the fact that a lot of the boss encounters in EoF spawn adds which aggro's everything when they spawn, which means if that piece of shit dog is attacking the boss mob there's a damn good chance the adds will spawn and kill it. If you have a dog that hardly ever dies when doing encounters it means either 3 things. 1 the dog spends most of it's time not attacking, 2 you are not the MT defiler and therefore have time to position your dog to be attacking or 3 you re-summon the dog...a lot.

I've spent some time into thinking of "pet-less" AA spec's. Sure the pet has some awesome debuffs, but factoring in it's survivability, the fact that it has to be hitting the mob for anything to go off and that the majority of the debuffs are percentage's I wonder if over-all having a "pet-less" AA spec wouldn't in fact increase your healing potential, I'm off to respec now so I'll find out.

You are completely wrong with this I am the only defiler in guild so I am in the main tank group. What I do is the fallowing

1)go to where the mob will be
2)/pet stay
3)go stand where I stand
4)tank pulls the mob
5)/pet attack
IF MOB MOVES (aka knock back, port, some one pulls aggro ect)
6)/pet backoff (pet will go to where you told it to stand)
7) wait for the tank to get back into position
8)/pet attack

Its not very hard, there are very few mobs that the dog will not stay alive on. So your "only three reasons" why a your dog doesn't die are incorrect.

What happened to the other defiler in your guild Razieh? The one that had the full EoF set and the Rougarou Hood? Had GL tag next to his name last time I looked, though admittedly I could be mistaken about your guild having 2 defilers as looking now you are the only one.

Wasn't trying to be rude or imply your a noob at your class but last time I had looked you had a 2nd defiler in your guild (or at least I thought at the time of posting you did). I also said the very thing you did though in less detail. You can park your pet and bring it in and back it out but that little shit bag still dies sometimes and when it does die your out all the benefit's it gives. As far as being incorrect what I stated might be incorrect for you personally, but that doesn't mean it is incorrect period. Obviously there are other people here that do have their pet's die now and then. Personally it's a combination of how long it takes to rebuff the pet, the fact that we have to run around and park him to get him to be somewhat useful, and how after spending all that time to buff him, park him, he still dies sometimes.

Never had a second defiler, no reason to ever I don't have a clue about what you are talking about leggings have still yet to be discovered as well
