Default Re: New AA changes

I was away over the weekend, so didn't really get a chance to do much testing yet.

I am not raiding much on the defiler nowadays anyhow

the first thing I did was kill the dog.god did i ever hate that dog.

I specced to WIS/INT mainly to test out the INT line, I doubt it is my final spec. So far, the only thing i can say is that soloing a 72^^^ gargoyle outside CMM was easier with the new spec than it had been with my previous STR/WIS spec.

I'll get into some more raids and test this out some more. Then I'm gonna get that SoD hammer and switch to AGI/INT and run that for a bit just to see what kinda DPS i can hit. I never had a high crit weapon and always felt bad about being unable to use the AGI line.

In the end I think I will go to STR or AGI and WIS.

Speaking of INT line, does anyone know if Scourge actually removed anything useful? Like maybe the dmg shield on the first burn vampire in MMIS? (It was screwing with our bladedances last week, so it's top of mind and I can't think of anything else off the top of my head.)

Otherwise the last sentence of your response leads to enlightening quotes from other posters that have answered my questions. Good job on your ability to find these things where mine failed. Don't let it be said that all Disso's are jerks!
I am only nit picky because they are very different things not trying to be an asshole And yes Ipum's post are very informative and break down the math its very simple to do on your own. If you need further explanation just post here and I'm sure me him or some one else will respond.

Team that up with stacked heal crit (with the AGI line I could be at 20%). Our MT group rolls with a dirge who has Don't Kill the Messenger, giving me 27% heal crit. If we have a Coercer specced for heal crits I could get it even higher. So that's more spells in a shorter duration with a higher crit chance. I suck at math so I'm not going to try and crunch the numbers on that, but it sounds compelling.
I assume you are talking in response to this quote.

My math was done with 13% standing reuse(ring of four winds & ritual of mind) which is very easy to achieve.

Was just being playful Raz I still don't quite catch how the math for crit chances works but it does appear that the faster reuse will definatly be more of an improvement which sounds logical, but I'm still just a little unsure, I guess i have to just try the faster reuse and figure out how it goes.

ok, here is my problem with this arguement against dogdog, all your saying is, i get heal crit buffs from other people to go with my heal crit line, but with the dog, you still get that heal crit from the dirge and the coercer, so its still just 16% heal crits vs. the dog, not all this stuff your throwing in

I was thinking the cumulative effect from those crits and casting bonuses in group would add up to more healing power. So a crit going off only 10% (where I'm at now using the STR/WIS line) on 9 wards/minute (rough estimate of 2 group and a few solo) is going to look very different than a crit hitting 30% (crit line, plus DKtM + Coercer) on 12 wards/minute. The difference might not be linear but exponential because the number of possible hits and possible spells have both increased.

Again, I'm not good at math, and it would take me 11p to respec to test out this out.

Right now I'm using the dog, so I can't run ACT to check this out. Maybe next month when I don't have to spend 11p total to check it.

well, even with your group setup your looking at
23% reuse, 20% heal crits, and dogdog vs.
23% reuse, 36% heal crits, and no dog
so the difference is still 16% heal crits vs. dogdog, no matter how you look at it
you can look at my math that razieh so kindly quoted earlier in this thread to see how much the agi line really adds to the wis line, and it isnt impressive

No matter how you cut it agi/wis will not beat agi/str ill do the math and explain it all in one giant post later tonight. WTF are you talking about you cant run AcT with your dog......?

Yeah, I can't run ACT to test the AGI/WIS combo right now because I have the dog, and don't want to pay the money to respecc until it's cheaper.
