Your concerns about LoN can be voice constructively, and that's welcome. We don't need to get all crazy and worry that the sky is falling. It's not.
Today's hotfix is important because it gives people who don't want to hear about LoN while they play EQ2 the opportunity to select to auto decline all duel invites (and that also means people can't use it for nasty tricks). The card game is not evil, and I have not seen any plans to include a casino. Rest easy there.
