You know, we really thought we were on to something here, but it?s apparent that people would rather handle things without our help. So I am going to put an end to the ?Official Guild Recruitment Thread? idea and let everyone express themselves and their guild in the way that seems to work best for them.
From here on out, you are free to make your own guild recruiting threads and we won?t cajole you to use any official thread or method to get it done. Be nice, don?t bash other guilds or violate the forum policies and standards, but feel free to advertise your guild, alliance, etc. (on your server board only) in the best way possible for you.
The existing guild recruitment thread will be removed from sticky and allowed to fall off the boards. If there was a thread that did a good job of things for your server in the past, send me, Gnobrin, or one of the mods a sticky request and we will see about getting it back up on top ? with the caveat that it needs to stay current and relevant.
Thank you to everyone who found a way to provide feedback without breaking the forum rules and policies. I appreciate every comment (pro and con) that I received that was routed in a constructive manner. Change can always be difficult, and I wanted to be sure to give this idea a chance to settle in and feel normal, but it?s also important to listen to the feedback while supporting the change ? and to know when the change isn?t working.
