Ok, for those technically-savvy... Here's the bacics of what happened that's causing our present fun and excitement from the mouth of "those in the know":
"Certain enterprising plat spammers have been using the Station Launcher beta as a way to bypass the spam filter. Given the current stage of development of Station Launcher, the hotfix aimed at curbing that behavior ran into complications in the production environment that were not found in the development, QA, or staging environments."
