The issues with ALL the servers and their lag/locking issues has been a common issue, something we've been speaking of over the past few weeks since the expansion's launch. As issues arise, the tech gnomes jump on the troubles and try to detangle the situation. There's still much to do to ensure there's lessened lag and database latency, but it's getting better daily.
