We are aware there's something odd going on here, though it's not happening consistently nor reproducibly which has made it a bit difficult for QA to pinpoint! Our super fabulous coding team are alert to this gremlin however and have some pretty good suspicions where it's hiding, and are working to track down the cause and squelch it. Thanks for your understanding while they're doing so.
I'm not sure if they still require any additional information, but if you do happen to notice it happening again, it couldn't hurt to note your character name, server, approximate time you camped, and what you noticed didn't stop counting down while you were logged out.
